Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Trim Tab goblet.

Completely opaque, black with thin mocha head that quickly dissipates. A gorgeous presentation, with Eliot references and a shiny, textured label.
Smells wonderful, rich cacao, slightly burnt. Plenty of sugar (lactose?) on the edges.
Thick and smooth, more smoky than sweet. Very pleasant, but strangely unassuming after a monumental nose. Soft vanillins and nice roast.
Kind of thin at times, or disturbingly smooth, depending.
That's an aged, barrel-aged stout. If you like those, you'll like this!

2018 keg from February, left to sit until now. On draft at Loosa Brews, Tuscaloosa, AL.

Pours dark and viscous, with a tan head that settles at about a quarter inch on top. Not much lace to speak of, but expect more as it warms.

The nose is fairly subtle, but a good soft balance of roast, chocolate, and malts can be picked out, along with burnt toast on the back end. Wanted more potent aromas but what I’m getting is nice.

Creamy, with milk chocolate and dark roast emerging, balanced. As it settles, I’m getting more charred Barrel and hints of booze. It’s very smooth, and while I’m unsure of the barrels used for aging, it really influences the flavor profile of this beer well.

Creamy, soft, with low carb and a smooth, warm finish. Sticky.
