22oz bomber. Poured out an opaque, jet-black color with a small, tan head of foam. It smelled of chocolate, faint coffee notes and roasted malt. Nice mocha taste with minimal coffee bitterness. Sweet caramel and toffee flavors, too.

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Trim Tab goblet.

Dark as night with very light head. A gorgeous presentation, with a shiny, textured label.
Smells delightful! Coffee, dry, roast, bitter.
Tastes underwhelming. Sweetish and kinda muddled flavors, I'm getting vanilla and chocolate. Sadly no coffee on the palate.
Overall, a fun BA imperial stout, but the nose overshadows the taste.

22 ounce bottle, 2017 vintage. Poured into tulip.
Pours a dark, dark brown, just about black. Cappuccino colored head or fine bubbles. Nice lacing. Dry cocoa powder, roast, coffee. Oh yeah, a tasty beer here. Roast, some char which leads into, sweet chocolate, vanilla, espresso. Slight bit of marshmallow here. As it warms the chocolate becomes so much more. Just a bit overcarbed and thin for my liking, only detracts a bit for me. Really solid beer here,

I'm trying this at the brewery. It poured an opaque dark with thin ecru head that is leaving a spotty lace .the scent had nice coffee and milk chocolate tones. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with mocha goodness being present. The mouthfeel is lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall its a solid beer.

Big thanks to richj1970 for another Trimtab treat!
Pours thick looking pure black, dark tan finger of close knit foam on top. Lots of oily legs left behind when the head retreats to lasting cap five minutes later.
Med./full strength aroma featuring cocoa, dark roast coffee, dark toast, really tasty sweet malt, and roasty malt notes that aren't sharp and are super tasty. Killer aroma, no doubt.
Add some doughy sweet and slightly tart yeast notes to the flavors in the aroma, change the cocoa to darkest chocolate, and you have this baby down. Perfect balance of flavors that present as bright parts of an evolving sip that ends perfectly clean with hoppy bitter coming together with sharp cacao liquor and malty roast notes. As it warms alcohol spice lingers in the mix, adding complexity to an already complex beer. Delicious.
A bit thin bodied for style, and a bit too high carb., but the killer finish and super clean flavor presentation make up for it handsomely.
What can I say, even better than Cumulus, and one of the better non BA stouts out there, especially for coffee and dark chocolate lovers
