Notes: Welcome to TrimTab Beach Club – Where drinking is a pleasure! For our second release in this series of tiki and cocktail influenced sour ales, we bring you Imperial Euphoria Now Fruited Berliner Weisse!

Euphoria Now is an incredibly refreshing, tropical variant of our ever-popular and nationally award-winning Paradise Now. This brew undergoes a fermentation with passion fruit and guava, creating deeply layered citrus flavors and aromas. The finish is clean and tart, with the iconic acidity that berliner weisse beers are known for. Intended for the hot days of summer ahead, and equally at home by the pool or on the beach, Imperial Euphoria Now is summer in a can.

Bought myself a takeaway box from my local beerbar (Beerlovers Bar Antwerp) to get through the COVID-19 lockdown. I'm almost through the supermarket offerings, so time for something more beer snob.
I'm an afficionado of Geuze and Kriek, so I know to appriciate my sour ales.

Opened the can and got a whim of tropical fruits, the description on the can didn't dissapoint: tropical sweet fruitness!
Served in my trusty "Seef" tumbler.
It was hard to get the head to really develop, collapses immediately and nothing after that. Makes it look a bit funny. Because the beer is very hazy, it looks more like a sollid then a liquid.
Coulour is a dark orange, going brown.
Scent is a sweet tropical fruit punch (mango, pineapple, passion fruit, papaya, you name it). Sweet and full of acidity.
Describing the taste... Well, to use an analogy "This is German Papua-New Guinea" or "Unseren Platz an der Sonne.A seemless blend of Berlin and the tropics. And it hits you all at once, like a train coming towards you: the full yeasty and cereal sourness of the "Weisse" style with the sour sweet juicy/sirupy ritchness of the tropics. Mouthfeel is thick and chewy.
Aftertaste is a bit bitter and dry on the tongue. Reminds me a bit of a red sherry, earthy/herbal tones, lactic and those typical Geuze/Saison farmyard molds.
Bottom of the can contained some digestive goodness.

This was a real experience. I often read descriptions or reviews on beers claiming to contain tropical fruit. Well this one genuinly reproduces that palate. Luckily today is a sunny day. Enjoyed it till the last drop.

Canned during March, can’t make out the exact date on the stamp:

Pours a deep, murky golden orange. Some soft head bubbles up, but fizzles out into the flat surface of the beer.

The nose is bursting with tropical fruit here, unmistakable guava & passionfruit aromas. Sweet, inviting, and very authentic.

Again, guava and passionfruit, just as advertised. A mild tartness and very light acidity. Clean, and super crushable.

Fairly light bodied, with a soft but sharp carbonation, appropriate for the style. Crisp, clean. Light residual stickiness in the finish.
