Delivered in a clear pint glass after being drawn from a tap, it's a murky yellow-tan. There's very little head, but a great sharp hoppy aroma. It's a complex aroma, somehow both citrusy and piney, with some malt added in. The taste is predominantly citrusy hops, which finish super cleanly. There's even some malt for sweetness and provide a decent body. This is a solid AIPA.

Had Silent Disco poured from pint can, bottom stamped "BATCH#355," into nonic pint.
Pours murky gold saturated with floaties that collapse to a layer of sediment, with a huge, foamy near-white head, which lasts and leaves a few chunky rings of lace down the glass. Aroma of grassy hops and dry malt off the pour, soon obliterated by juicy, tropical fruit aromas, some resin, and not a little stone fruit. Begins a bit sweet with dry malt then hop resin, leading into tropical and sweet fruits, before drying to a crisp peach and other stone fruits finish.
A huge head tops fluid with the look of an original unfiltered NEIPA, and classically complex fruity aromas and flavors are spiced up a bit with some hop resin and a crisp finish.

16 fl oz pull-tab can:
Hop profile is mediocre. Balance isn't great. Lacks hop pungency and depth of hop flavour.
Pleasant to drink and drinkable, though. Not a top tier IPA but I like it despite it not showcasing any particular hop varietal well or really evoking a specific hop profile.

Silent Disco is not for me! It tast like dish water. I Couldn't finsh it. Had to pour it out. Which is saying a lot for me I never ever poured out a beer. I tasted a lot of beer in my life but this one has got to the absolute worst beer I have ever tasted. I would not recommend this for anyone.

Really nice slightly hazy golden color with a pearl white head that provides more than ample lacing. Pineapple and melon on the prominent aromas on the nose, along with some guava.
The melon is most prominent on the taste, with the guava and a smidge of pineapple. The mouthfeel is full and commensurate with the style. This and Citrus would be IPA “fridge beers” if I had regular access to them.

Very hazy, but still somewhat translucent bright golden in color. White head, good retention.
Pungent aroma of very sweet, funky, overripe peach, mango, and pineapple; candied orange peel, honey, lemon, and weedy dankness.
Bright smack of peach, apricot, and mango. Then grapefruit, lemon, and pineapple. White bread and honey. A hint of weed, earth and pine. Then a light bitterness with lingering grapefruit peel.
Medium feel, well carbonated, slightly oily, leans slightly sweet but with a clean, balanced finish.
A really, really great hazy IPA. Above average, in my opinion. Lacks the flaws that the style usually has, superbly fruity whilst drinkable and clean. Well done.

Interesting, powerful citric bomb
a) Muddy haze at apricot puree color with slim head sporting crown of dotty lace.
s) Fresh fruit blender with some dank haze.
t) The taste is what excels here. But for citrus and tropical fruit salad fans. Pineapple, papaya, melon.
f) Nice jammy feel, good weight, nice finish.
o) Deserves its place in tasting of jammy NE IPAs.

Look: hazy orange-yellow. Good carbonation and lacing.
Aroma: Orange, tropical, pithy as is warms
Taste: follows the aroma; very little bitterness
Mouthfeel: medium, slightly chewy. This particular can was very carbonated so the feel was heavier than normal.
Overall: great NEIPA. A definite go to, but for me, just under their Citrus IPA.

A nice juicy IPA. I would compare it to the hazy IPAs being offered by many breweries these days. Pine and citrus scent and definite creamy mouth feel. A little over carbonated for me. But I am drinking this three months after canned date. Still very flavorful with hip and citrus and malt. Glad I tried it

Had on draft. Very hazy, light carb, no head. Not overly juicy, but thick, with a very mild bitterness on the finish. Not boozy. Very good for the style, would get again.

16oz can into an IPA glass.
Look: Pours an opaque orange with a massive rocky, foamy head that has pretty good retention, lots of good sticky lacing on the side of the glass.
Smell: Big citrus on the nose, mostly orange and grapefruit with a small hint of pine in there. I'm also getting some tropical fruit like pineapple and papaya.
Taste: Much like the nose, citrus and some tropical fruit. Low bitterness.
Feel: On the creamy side of medium bodied, with small velvety bubbles.
Overall: Fruity without coming across as sweet, balanced out by some light bitterness. Not exactly a standout as far as IPAs go, but I can't find much of anything to complain about either.

Liked the design of this can but the beer inside was silent in it's own way as well. It was an American IPA but just too heavy on everything for me as I never fully warmed up to it - even as it warmed up in my glass. IPA lovers won't be disappointed by this but in a crowded field, there's a lot that I'd reach for before this offering...
The hue to this was quite dark, like apricot or peach rinds. Some light got in around the edges but this was quite turbid in appearance. Plenty of head topped it off but the lacing left around the top of my pint glass was nearly nonexistent, save for a bit around the collar. Caramel, apple cider, tropical fruit, and deep citrus were in the nose as the taste was also enough to weigh my senses down. Too much Mosaic in this as this was tasty to *some* extent but too one-dimensional and sticky at the same time. Not a lot of carbonation here either as that didn't give this beer the lift that it needed.
Not a lot of booze here as this almost felt like an American Pale Ale rather than an IPA. Canned on 8/8/17, this sat in my stash for too long but seeing how others rated it on here, it's likely that this wasn't among Funk's better offerings. Still woudn't mind giving it another go with a newer can...

Nice hazy golden look with a good size almost white head. Big citrus hops nose on this brew. So far so good. Balanced fruity flavor with low bitterness. Is that slight alcohol on the end I’m detecting? Either way good taste. Creamy mouthfeel with just enough carbonation, this brew is a winner.

Huge amount of dry hops in this baby. Piney citrusey with astonishing little bitterness. Should I dare insult Emmaus and call it a NE IPA ? Nah it's just a really good ale that's beautifuly cloudy golden and loaded with fruit flavors but not juicy or sweet. An IPA for IPA haters ,like me, who like to taste the malt, the yeast esters and don't need ten billion IBUs coating my tongue for the next week. It's pretty good! Drink it!

Tons of flavor and extremely smooth and creamy mouthfeel for being just 6.8% - I would easily believe this was in the 8-9% range. Sweet tropical fruit, some citrus, and hints of dank onion/garlic to keep this interesting. Really nice.

very creamy, soft mouth feel. it’s really close to a NEIPA in terms of overall style and feel. the liquid is thick with zero visibly. the glass exhibits a non-translucent golden/amber hue. tasty, thick, creamy foam exhibiting a prominent lacing effect. this beer has an amazing mouthfeel and eminates a subtle, yet pleasant nutty and fruity smell. the taste is very good with hints of a mango and pine. it’s not overly sweet—it has a nice balance between the sweetness of the mango/fruit flavor and the traditionally more bitter, pine-esque flavor of your typical ipa. the highlight for this ipa is the mouthfeel which accentuates the above-average flavor in to the realm of stellar

Canned 2-28, freshest I've ever seen a Funk offering in the grocery store, that's the sad truth. I'd love to buy more from them but I just can't find it fresh enough.
Not my favorite Funk offering, but I don't regret the purchase. Well balanced with a brisk caramel backbone with a hop profile of pine, faint tropical, and strongly bitter finish of citrus rind.
