Had on tap. I thought this was a great fruit and hop forward ipa without going into the hazy realm. The hops gave that savory spice at the end of the taste, after getting orange, grapefruit, melon, and blackberry. The smell was more standard hops. For a single the feel was excellent, with decent carbonation, hop texture and a thickness that really let the fruit come out

Got in a trade from spelingchampeon. 16 ounce can into tulip glass, canned on 5/22/2018. Pours opaquely hazy golden amber/light orange color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky white head with fantastic retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lingers. Nice dense foamy lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper/pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, light pepper, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine, citrus peel/rind, herbal, grassy, spicy bitterness on the finish. Lingering notes of tangerine, grapefruit, lemon, peach, pear, pineapple, apricot, passion fruit, papaya, mango, melon, guava, berry, citrus peel/rind, pepper, pine, wheat, biscuit dough, light honey/caramel, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Awesome complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance; and zero cloying/astringent flavors after the finish. Lightly increasing dryness from lingering bitterness. Medium carbonation and medium-plus body; very smooth, creamy/bready/grainy, and fairly sticky/resinous/rindy balanced mouthfeel that us great. Minimal warming alcohol for 6.8%. Overall this is an awesome NEIPA. All around great complexity, robustness, and balance of citrus/fruity/tropical/earthy hops and bready malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the mellowly bitter/drying finish. Nicely soft mouthfeel, a bit more drying than usual for the style. Feels like Amarillo, Simcoe, Galaxy, and Mosaic hops. Really juicy, vibrant, and fairly dank hop complexity; nice bready malt backbone, but not overly sweet/heavy feeling from lingering dryness. A very enjoyable offering, and well made style example.

Draft poured into a pint glass. Opaque ipa very hazy. Smell is melon and a concoction of bitter hops. Taste is a nice balance of malt and hops. Well balanced. After taste lends a nice malt backbone. Mouthfeel is medium. Overall a very solid unfiltered ipa. Case worthy ipa, could have quite a few of these. Cheers

A: hazy pale orange color with some darker burnt orange notes on the middle. Thin, white head

S: big melon, guava, creamsicle, crackers, sweet citrus

T: orange juice straight up. Sweet citrus, bready malts, pineapple, some strawberry and dank hops

M: medium mouth with low carb

O: very sweet and juicy. Perhaps a touch too much like juice

L: Had this beer on-tap at Capital Ale House - Innsbrook, poured into a pint glass. Had a bright orange color and a super thick and cloudy consistency. There was an inch of foamy, somewhat long-lasting head. Good lacing.

S: A good aroma of hops, citrus fruit, malt, tropical fruit, and a dank quality.

T: Tasted of a fair amount of malt (mostly in the finish), lots of hops, some citrus notes (orange, lemon), a bit of tropical fruit (pineapple), and the dank quality. A solid flavor that seems, at times, to be a little uneven. Nonetheless, it's very fruity and hoppy and sweet. In general, a good flavor.

F: A well-carbonated beer with a lively finish. Medium-bodied.

O: Even though it's a smidge uneven at times, this beer still manages to work. Drinkable.

Poured into a grip shaped goblet: color is straw gold, dense looking with hazy thick presence, head is bright white with fine and small bubbles, good lacing on the glass sides with a solid lingering top.

Smell is big citrus, pineapple and tropical fruit blend, lighter hop spice is noticeable.

Taste is hoppy, with more citrus, pineapple, and tropical fruit hop flavor; some good background spicy yeast but a bit too tropical or juicy for me.

Mouthfeel is what you would expect from the NEIPA style with moderate carbonation, strong bitterness, and drying over time.

Overall - a beer that seems to be hit or miss from sip to sip for me with the heavy tropical/pineapple flavors, but good bittering presence and moderate mouthfeel.
