Juicy Lucy is a lighter IPA made to become your everyday beer. This delicious IPA delivers citrusy punch full of fruity flavors, namely papaya, apricot, and guava. This lovely lady was double dry hopped with Citra and Rakau hops.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid ipa pours a cloudy amber tinged
golden color with a fantastic head of white foam that fades to a fat ring and layer
with excellent lacing. Nose of pineapple, guava, mango, and light pine amongst the
caramel and honey sweet malts. Flavors follow nicely with pineapple, mango, guava,
subtle apricot, and light herbal / pine notes among a balanced caramel and honey
sweet malt. Mouth feel is medium, medium light carbonation, sticky hops, and
a hop forward bitter finish balanced with malts.
Overall, a solid little brew from a fantastic brewery!
Cheers

The suspended pulp isn’t a good look, though I suppose it does makes sense coming from a beer with “juicy” in its name. This is an IPA, sure, but it’s overly hopped up. Gives me a headache. Makes my mouth pucker. The feel is balanced but tight. The bitterness doesn’t fade much, which makes it hard to want to take another sip. Definitely not the beer for me but I can understand how it might hit the spot for hop-heads. Far too bold and uncompromising for my palette. I’ll stick to their Hazy Miss Daisy.

Draft at the brewery. Hazy burnished copper. Visible lacing. The aroma is very Citra with the expected citrus medley but the flavor has a lot of non-citrus tropical fruit; papaya, mango, guava and then a pretty good hit of apricot. Medium mouthfeel, soft carbonation, right between dry and juicy finish. This brewery has some creative brewers. I expect to be back here the next time I visit Columbus Oh.

~2 wks old, fresh.
Look: blood orange juice. Looks like pulp suspended in there.
Smell: orange juice, more grapefruit.
Taste: grapefruit juice.
Mouthfeel: Fairly thin, bitter with
Overall: I’ve never been a fan of fruit in ipa’s. This is no different. It should be classified as fruit beer if it goes this much into naval orange juice.

Flavorful but a bit harsh. Good fruity/citrus IPA.

Good but just another IPA. A bit too malty sweet for my taste.

Light copper, hazy look.
No significant head, but an appropriate ring with nice lacing.
Hoppy nose, both citrusy and piney, notes of lychee.
Honeyed oaky flavor with good bittering balance. Lingering finish.
Very nice IPA. True to style.
