Pretty good IPA. Poured a hazy orange color from a 12 oz bottle into a pint glass. Medium size white head with average retention. Several bands of thin lacing on the glass that remain long after the beer is gone!!! Aroma is piney and citrus hops with some sweet malt. Good strong aroma, you can smell the bitterness. Taste is similar, strong flavors and nicely bitter, but there is a good balance between hops and malt. Mouthfeel is crisp with a good level of bitterness. Once again the balance is appreciated. Enjoyed sipping this one.

This beer pours a delightful golden orange with a tiny head that quickly dissipates. The smell is light, but nice nonetheless. As for the flavor, it’s a subtle earthy tone with hop hints and not much in the way of citrus or fruit.

Interesting artwork. 12 oz. bottle, with date of 02 06 18 (best by?, born on?) poured into an IPA glass, a semi cloudy orange with a two finger fluffy head that retains well. Light citrus and caramel malt on the nose. The taste comes in pine, orange citrus, grassy earth, and malt. Finish gets oniony/bitter as it warms. The heft is medium, carbonation is low and a touch creamy. An interesting IPA, something about it makes it feel like an English and American IPA mix.

From a fresh bottle, which you'd expect, given it's right here in Va. I thought this was a good IPA worth buying again, and if you read the directions to get to the brewery, and know something of those road back there, you'll realize these people are not in this game to make money, they only must care about the beer, otherwise they'd live in somewhere closer to civilization. But the beer was good, properly headed and properly hopped. Had a distinctive taste and nose and what more can you ask for, these days? Good on 'em for doing their best!

No date on the bottle. Poured into the Free Will teku glass.
L. Clear golden to orange with a white foam head which reduces to a ring and a big bubbly patch in the middle. No carbonation really visible.
S. Smells like a bag of white bread, a little bit of melon mixing in, some pineapple, honey, light caramel. More orange and lemon as it comes closer to room temp.
T. Pine right away with some grapefruit, very bready, a tad funky, over-ripe fruit, little bit of sweetness like honey and caramel, finishes bitter like spruce and pine or grapefruit peel. It's got flavors that I wasn't expecting, but it ain't bad. According to their website the flavor profile includes garlic. That is the funky that I taste. Very much yes.
F. Full side of medium, smooth and soft. Low carbonation, not boozy, resinous in the end, not too dry.
O. Definitely bitter, which is nice, with a funky mix of flavors. Not sure if I would recommend it, especially to a casual beer drinker. Not bad though by any means and interesting to say the least. Cheers ! ! !

Bottle has slick art. Poured into a pint glass. Translucent copper orange color with a light, lacy head. Not much aroma on the nose but can definitely pick up the citra hops. Taste is nice, with almost a peach undertone to it. There's something just quite off with this that doesnt propel it into the upper tier of IPAs. Nonetheless, this is a really easy drinking IPA that i wouldnt mind having again.

Mad hops for creating another decent Virginia brewed IPA. There's nothing extraordinary to set this one apart from the hoppy IPA realm however it's certainly not a bad beer. I might not rush out to buy it again but I would not turn it away if offered. Keep at it! Pretty cool label too :)

Yellow-gold in color with ample visible carbonation and decent white head that rapidly turns to a very very thin film on the top. Aroma is foul, like spoiled milk, quite offputting !! Maybe a touch of old malt also. Taste (I am scared) is undrinkable, taint, spoiled and has a terrible rotten bitterness. What happened here !!

Lightly hazy and golden orange in color with a 2 finger white head that recedes leaving some nice lacing.

Aroma of sweet caramel malt and citric and piney hops.

Taste likewise but more subdued. Rather sweet with light tart citrus and caramel.

Smooth and moderately silky in feel. Medium bodied with light carbonation.

A good beer. Somewhat sweet and hoppy as I prefer.
