Light golden straw color. Almost honeyed, very light roast malt aroma. Subtle, pale malt flavor, with medium light, floral, noble hop character. Finishes with the hops and malt, going out together.

Bought one on tap at the Longfellow Grill for my wife for lunch. It is clean and crisp, light, with enough malt and flavor to keep it interesting. Kolsch is so much better fresh and this is fresh.

this is actually really good kolsch. i have been a little back and forth on the beers i have had from these guys, but on my recent trip, all of them seemed excellent to me, at least in terms of quality, and this is a classic and straight ahead take on the style. clear golden from the tap, not overly active, but clean and bright, it even looks refreshing! aroma is european pale barley malt and grassy bittering hops that really jump out at me, a patient fermentation and conditioning is also obvious, some minerals in the mix too. flavor is about the same, and i suppose this is a little hoppier than most of the imports i have had in this style, but it tastes so fresh and the bitterness is restrained, its just right to make this a little more flavorful than a lot of them. still really fresh on the light malt, and still super light in body, this is just crisp and easy drinking stuff that seems to have been fermented on the cool side, bringing a snappy dry refreshing pop to the finish. excellent carbonation, a little earthy at the end, and a nice contrast to a lot of the heavier food on the menu in here. excellent recipe and execution. not something that usually moves me, but this was really solid.

The Kolsch was good...Poured a golden-colored ale with white head that left a spotty lace. The scent had light hints of fruit and bread. The taste was lightly sweet with touches of white winish flare. Decent hop balance. The mouthfeel was light body with smooth carbonation. Overall.....not bad.
