Cerveza de color ámbar con un dedo de espuma con retención media. Aroma a malta, lúpulo y cítricos. En boca es refrescante y a pesar de su amargor, se le siento un poco de caramelo.

Barcelona Beer Co. "Cerdos Voladores"
33 cl brown glass bottle, "CONSUM PREF.: 09/2016"
...pig #15 on the label! Disfruta la vida!

Appearance: Mainly clear deep Amber beneath a large frothy head of off-white. Both the head retention and lacing are excellent - it leaves rings of lace with each sip.

Aroma: Perfumey pine. Grainy, toasty and gently caramelish malt.

Flavor: The hops are prevalent, as they should be in an IPA, but the malt is right behind it. It's American in style regarding the hops, but I find the malt almost English in its use of crystal malt. It's not overly bitter, but it is bold, and that's perfectly balanced by the malt.

Mouthfeel: Dextrinous medium body with a very fine-bubbled, seemingly natural median carbonation. Gently crisp but then smooth.

Overall: Very nicely done from a production point of view, and formulated nicely as well. The balance leaves it quite drinkable, and the choice of quality malts and hops gives it interest... the only thing that might hold you back from having a second one would be that the first was so satisfying. Really nice. Absolutely worth trying!

340ml can.
L: Hazy, burnt orange with a thick, off-white head that persists and leaves sheets of lacing.
S: Sweet malt and resinous hops.
T: Stewed tea, herbal and bitter.
F: Medium body and a long, dry finish.
O: In contrast to the fruit bombs currently in vogue, this is an earthy blast from the past. A resinous, bitter, old-skool, American-style IPA. A bit like a Goose IPA... but from Barcelona.

Amber with carpet; vague salted caramel; hit of sweetness, slight lemon water, some oxidized honey + a touch of grass; salty, bitter, ending.

Again, I feel like this needs spicy or salty food. Old school IPA in being malt forward. Also, tastes like it might’ve sat in a hot Spanish warehouse. Sub par.

Pours clear, gold in color with one inch rocky top head. Taste is mineral, pale malt, meadow, and lime juice. Slightly bitter, medium bodied and carbonation. Really tasty and different. Could do several. Well worth a try.

3.50 euro per bottle in Barcelona.

Has a pungent hop bitterness, but it goes into imbalanced territory.

Highly drinkable.

330ml bottle. Shaker glass. Enjoyed during a tasting-presentation party @ La Cervecita (Barcelona). Bright brass in color, clear appearance. Yellowish off-white froth, showing fairly good retention. Intense resinous aromas, biscuit hues, caramel hints, floral notes & slight citric on the back. Mild toasted malt upfront yields to sharp piney & floral bitterness. Light to medium body. Moderate carbonation. Oily texture. Increasing sharp but clear bitterness on a complex malt bed lingers into a resinous & fruity finish. Flavorful & easy drinkable !!

for an instant upon cracking this noble brew, it having flown thousands of miles to come into my hand, I was blessed with a hoppy, citrusy funk that sent shivers down my spine. I had found it - a beer that would fill my mouth with wonder as the fatamorgana had years ago.

Alas, it is not quite as toothsome as an omnipollo, but it ranks right up there with stone's best offerings for hop profile and body - reminds me vaguely of the arrogant bastard upon further sippage.

ruddy ruddy ruddy - this beer ain't pale. 2 finger head with sticky but slightly moist lacing.

very pronounced bitterness, overlaid by notes of grapefruit and juniper. getting dry white wine and sticky resin as the experience progresses. Large staying power, with a thick, carmelly mouth-feel that makes you feel like you're biting in to an apple at the fair.

packaging is excellent - "if you're looking for a sign, this is it", "please enjoy life", a big ol' sunglassed angel-pig #15 on the front daring you to guzzle down this palette-hogger of an ale.

perhaps some late-stage mosaic would round it out.

28 Feb 2019. De Hipercor. Lata.
