Visited for a late brunch on Nov 5, 2017. I was pretty well blown away by this place. The house beers were adventurous and well done with a nice selection of guest taps . The food was equally impressive and paired nicely with the beer. Nice vibe in a new building with great outdoor space. This is a must-visit in Charleston!

Menu pretty unique, asian fusion with southern flair. Had the fried chicken, collards. Amazing, would not go for the alternate flavors, original was the one. The deserts are the star however and the huckleberry pie was both rare and delicious. Heather Hutton the pastry chef is a real gem, dont miss out on the deserts!!!

-This is now a bar (two, one in the restaurant and one outside with many tables under pergolas), a store , and a brewery a couple of blocks distant. I have visited four times in recent months. The beer selection is really diverse and often uncommon. Their own beers are sometimes experimental, but always interesting. The restaurant is one of my favorites in the country. The bar servers are usually pleasant and well-informed. The restaurant severs have been great. I'd be a regular if I lived near Charleston.

Outstanding selection of great beer, including of course the house brews, fun atmosphere, very good service, and amazing food. If I am in Charleston again this is one place I would love to go back to.

Their selection merits a 5 because I ticked two new beer styles (Kvass, English Pale Mild). 98 down, 6 to go.

This place is a fancy restaurant that also brews their own beer. i can't shake the fancy restaurant. It's not a place you can lay back and unwind. The food is phenomenal, but it's almost too much. A great dinner spot, but if you are sweaty and sandy from the Charleston beaches, this isn't the spot. If you are all done with the outdoor fun, get dressed up, grab your wallet, and enjoy world class food with interesting beer.

Top notch drinking and dining destination. The place has a rustic modern aesthetic very reminiscent of the Publican in Chicago. Large airy minimalist space with a collection of antique cutting boards hanging high on the back wall above a row of booth seating. Wood-paneled ceiling and sparsely bulbed chandeliers above. Open kitchen in the back, with a high display window showcasing the house charcuterie selection.

House beers here were impressive, creative and hitting style hallmarks at the same time. Favorites were the house lager, Parsimony, and a new IPA called Thick & Juicy. We passed around a few house tasters and tried all that were available. They had quite a number of esoteric drafts that were very tempting, but there wasn't enough time.

Food was great, we stuck to small plates and tried all the starters and sides. For me, the standout was the house-made charcuterie and cheese plate. Nice variety of flavors and textures across the board. Veggie sides and plates were all uniquely prepared and tasty.

Service was friendly and helpful, timely and professional. Lots of staff running the place efficiently. I'd revisit again whenever in town, definitely a strong choice for best beer & dining destination in Charleston. With CBX moving in next door in early 2017, it will be the #1 place to go for all your beer needs.

After missing EO 6 months ago I was excited to finally enter the hallowed ground. Boy was I not disappointed.

I only drank their beers (holy s%$t, they have the best selection on tap ever) and every one was well crafted if not amazing. Their belgians, sours and hops were out-of-this-world good. You really need a few days to try all their beers and fully appreciate them.

The food was damn near perfect (charcuterie plate) for beer, the staff was wonderful (one of the brewers shared a growler of his delicious home brew) and the setting was swanky but not pretentious, classy but approachable. Such a great experience at a world-class location The best place I've been on the East Coast hands down.

Went twice over the 3 days we were in town. Really cool atmosphere inside, amazing beer selection, and very good cheese and charcuterie plates. We were also very impressed with the in-house brewed beers. The entree menu is a bit over the top so I recommend sitting at the bar and getting a few beers and a small plate or appetizer. They don't do flights but you can get 4oz pours of the in-house beers. We'll definitely be back next time we are in town.

Was here twice so far. Was so crowded on a Friday afternoon we sat outside and had ok service - not great but OK - I think they were slightly understaffed. Food was different from your normal bar fare or restaurant fare. It was good tho but different - see the menu on the web site. Outside seating was varied from small intimate seating to larger picnic type tables. You could easily serve an army here!

Second time I was here we sat at the bar - very very nice inside with loads of character. Incredible line up of beers here. I can honestly say there is no way you couldn't find something you like. Just about every flavor under the sun!! Since this is not my home city I have only been here twice. Once I go back to Charleston again - I WILL be back!

Brew pub with exceptional food. House beers were outstanding. Great outdoor seating with one bar is great option for a quickie. Of all the craft beer places in Charleston, this is the one that stands above the rest.

Awesome tap list and the outdoor patio area is amazing, cool vibe, nice and chill. It's kind of in the middle of nowhere but a quick ride (10 minutes) out of downtown Charleston. The PB&J beer was so good we went back a 2nd time.

One of the best (and newer) restaurants in town. Spacious bar, same for the dining area; however, the long community tables are high chairs which can be a little problematic for older parents, so ask about seating when you make your reservation. The food is fantastic. The draft and bottle offerings are long and varied. Excellent service. Well worth the steeper prices.

We were in February 2014 just after opening. Food and beer selection outstanding! Our service was very bad. I hope our waiter has found another field to work in because was not cut out to wait tables. He was overwelmed with all the people he was trying service. We were contacted by a member of management because we sitting there without anything to drink, no water nothing. By know means would this stop me from going back, this place is outstanding. World Class.

Really dug Edmund's Oast.

Vibe: Big, open food/beer hall, with an open/demonstration kitchen at one end. Very loud, but inviting and friendly.

Quality: Incredible beer list, and wonderful food. Top notch.

Service: Seated at a table (with reservation), and had outstanding service.

Selection: The beer list when I was there (March, 2015) was over-the-top. They had TONS of beers I've been seeking out for quite a while. I'm not sure if this is the norm, but they had something for everyone - big stouts from Dino S'Mores from Off Color, a bunch of Prairie Beers, and their own beers were tasty as well.

Food: Probably the strong point here - their charcuterie is great, sliced (and aged) just as ordered. I appreciated a little bit lighter fare here in comparison to other restaurants in Charleston (which are great, but also great in number).

I'll be back.
