The colour is gold, the finger thick white head sinks quickly down to a tin lid leaving no lacing on the glass.
The smell is sweet and thick, reminding more of wort than beer. Distinct notes of apple juice. Unripe fruit and bitter herbs in the background.
The taste is light. Insipid herbal notes, sharp sweetness, rough light bitterness and some earthy notes. Medium body. Growing raw alcohol in the aftertaste, some apple-like sweetness and light spicy bitterness. The finish is all alcohol, reminding a bit of a diluted vodka shot.
The carbonation is medium strong; the mid-sized bubbles are short-lived. The liquid is mid-smooth.
This is not good. I don’t know what has gone wrong with this beer, and frankly I don’t care about it.
