Pours a golden chocolate, heavy dense head, light to moderate lacing. Not much on the nose, mostly fresh citrus and some malty sweetness. This sits immediately upon the tongue, lots of carbonation, like a cauldron of citrus. This gets better sip by sip. I was expecting this to be dominated by the malts and adjuncts as is the case with most X-mas fare. This is really hop forward considering the malty appearance. Great holiday beer.

The citra hops really saves this beer as personally, I'm not into most Christmasy sorts of flavors. If I wouldn't know any better it's their very Citra IPA, only modified.

12oz bottle dated 11/20/19 exhibits a healthy ruddy, clear, amber colored body briefly supporting a rich, off-white cap of tight bubbles, and leaving steps of webbed lacing.
Aromas and flavors of toffee, caramel, sticky buns, pineapple, grapefruit, and pine combine to form a more perfect union. I think I have had this in a Christmas pastry; interesting and enjoyable in this beer without being overly sweet.
Mouthfeel is lighter and just short of sticky, with a clean finish.
Overall a very nice holiday red.

Bottle 11/20:
Dark rust colored beer has a dense top and a clear body. Lacing is a leopard skin of amber foam remnants.
Nose is amber malt toasty malt with a piney hop back with a thin citrus strain in between. Taste has a little caramel and a light orange marmalade toast impression up front. Middle gets some grapefruit pith leading towards a classic pith/pine ending.
All things stay in balance and work together to produce a lovely-looking, tasty amber pale ale.

Beautiful brick red beer, nice clarity, smooth light tan head with mild retention and lacing.
Aroma reminds me of SN Celebration with a splash of pineapple. Grapefruit dominance over pine and a touch of caramel.
Flavor follows with a nice citrus encompassing the lightly sweet caramel. Pine, pineapple, melon, and toasted bread sit on the back burner.
It's a bit sweet and a bit thin, but there is a balancing bitterness. The dry finish makes it exceptionally easy to drink and the elevated abv goes unnoticed.
A very good winter ale overall. A nice play between a winter warmer and an IPA. Huge thanks to Corey for the bottle.
Cheers and Merry Christmas.
