Traditional optics, nice barm & carbonation. Aroma is very zesty and bright - perhaps a little faint - with some typical citrus hop wafts. Taste is good, unadventurous but good. Just a normal PNW style with grapefruit, citrus etc. Not super bitter.

Bottle dated 3/29:
With just over a month on it, I feel this holds up pretty well. It's a classic grapefruit leaning pithy bitter IPA.

Golden, maybe a shade to the dark side, with a foamy white head that creates a blizzard of lacing.

Nose perhaps shows a little age, with a grassy copper note along with a fresh pine, light spice backbone.

The taste brings the grapefruit on a crisp, crackery malt opening. A little toasted note gets a citrusy (not juicy) dose of grapefruit, orange zest, and pith. The bitterness doesn't grow, but the malt seems to fade just a little quicker.

Light prickly carbonation plays with a very light spice accent in the flavor to produce a tingly, medium or so beer.

Enjoyed this beer for its classic nature and solid construction. Wonder if the nose pops just a little more fresh.

2 things I love in life during the winter/early spring... IPAs and local brews. Columbus is an overall awesome brewery. Not exactly a Great Lakes or Rhinegeist/Moerlein.... but their limited selection is pretty great. The IPA is delicious.. a nice, hoppy kick without the alcohol aftertaste. Like I said, I love the IPAs. Hops are my biggest vice. This is kinda my version of a session IPA, but I'm an Imperial/Double fan. VERY drinkable brew with a great finish. I love it!

Acquired from Swettenham_Shire so a big “Thank You” goes out to him. Poured from a 12oz bottle into a US tumbler pint glass.

A: The beer is a deep gold color with a short off-white head that fades slowly and leaves a thick lace on the glass.

S: The aroma contains strong floral hops, fruity citrus and caramelized malts.

T: The taste starts out sweet with flavors of fruity citrus and caramel that are quickly followed by a strong burst of floral hops bitterness. The malt character is hearty but not too heavy and brings a very good balance. The after-taste is slightly hoppy and slightly sweet.

M: Crisp and smooth, medium body, medium carbonation, finish is slightly sticky.

O: Tasty, goes down very easily, not too filling, good kick, good representation of style, this is a very solid IPA to drink for a long time.

12 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 11/3/2016. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden/amber color with a 1-2 finger dense and rocky off white head with great retention, that reduces to a nice cap that lasts. Nice dense soapy lacing clings on the glass, with a light amount of streaming carbonation. Aromas of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Damn nice aromas with great balance and complexity of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt notes; with great strength. Taste of big grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, honey, bread, herbal, and floral/grassy earthiness. Moderate pine/grassy/citrus peel bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, tangerine, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, melon, lemon/orange rind, pine, honey, bread, and herbal/floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a while. Incredible complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance, and zero lingering hop astringency after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from bitterness, increasing through the glass. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, moderately creamy/grainy/sticky, and lightly resinous balanced mouthfeel that is great. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 6.3%. Overall this is a fantastic IPA! All around outstanding complexity, robustness, and balance of bright citrus/tropical/pine hops and moderate pale malt flavors; very smooth and easy to drink with the balanced bitterness. Very bright and pretty juicy/dank on hop flavors. A highly enjoyable offering.
