12oz bottle, undated. Picked up at Warehouse Liquors in Cleveland Heights. $8.99/6. Poured into an unlabeled snifter today, 10/15/2013.

Review #287.

Pours a hazy orange (this is an unfiltered beer according to the label) with a fairly thick white head, taking up perhaps a finger-breadth. Good retention. Good lacing.

Smells balanced in that there is a nice sweet malt- biscuits really, with a nice tropical fruit aroma. Not intense, but it's there.

Flavour profile ends up being nicely balanced. It's got a nice tropical fruit presence- grapefruit and mango in particular, which also brings a nice but not overwhelming bitterness on the back end. It's complemented by a fairly solid malt presense- crackers, biscuits. Solid profile, nothing intense but very drinkable.

Medium bodied, not particularly resinous or dry, very drinkable. Very good carbonation that gives the beer a nice creaminess in a good way. No noticeable ABV presence.

Very good local Ohio IPA. Would be a shelf staple if I ever move to Cleveland. I like this better on a regular basis than I do Head Hunter IPA, as a more drinkable, smooth IPA but Head Hunter is more intense and delivers more flavour. Depends on what you're in the mood for, I guess.
