Poured into a tulip, the appearance was a hazy gold color with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that had a decent lace after dissipation. The aroma had some citrus sweet and bitter components, smooth sweet tropical glossing, clean malt, some bitter pine and a light floral pillowy smooth hoppiness. The flavor was bittersweet and pulling the tropical and citrus tastes into the blend pretty nice. Aftertaste blended well between the malts and hops pretty clean. Finish was just a tad sticky but acceptable. The palate was about medium bodied with a good sipping structure to it. Carbonation felt good. ABV felt good. Overall, pretty good DIPA that I could come back to if given the chance.

Off white head. Golden orange color.

Very malty dipa. Huge bready and caramel malt back bone. Sticky and resiny. Weedy.

Not sure how this one gets such a high rating. I had a hard time with it.

Huge thanks to Tony for this growler, fresh from the source.

Lacking proper glassware, I poured this into a Night Shift feku. Very attractive beer, golden color, good clarity overall with a slight haze, topped with a beautiful cap of white foamy head; excellent retention, and nice pillowy lacing. The aroma was dank and earthy, notes of body odor and marijuana, pine resin. It seems like a lot of people pick up citrus notes in this beer, but I really got nothing citrusy whatsoever, and it was certainly lacking in crispiness. The taste largely reflected the nose, very dank, wet, flavors of pine needles, pot, a little oniony, with a good dose of bready malts that I'd expect from an average DIPA. Body was about medium, clean mouthfeel, but again, not really crisp or fresh/zesty. Definitely a nice beer, and easily drinkable for the style.

Wouldn't have pegged this as a double. Crisp, clean, light body and modest bitterness. Not the most exciting hop bill, but well made.

Received in a trade, shared with JLindros.

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice crystal clear golden hue with a thin white head that fades to leave light wisps and a light halo.

S - Aromas of light caramel, light pine and earthy spicy. Little malt sweetness. No real booze.

T - Taste is similar to the nose, fair amount of malts, nice grapefruit, rather pine and spicy, some caramel, rather generic bitterness.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, not really boozy.

O - Overall this was a rather average dipa. Rather mosaic forward I think. Not boozy. Shocked.

Thanks to Justin for sharing this one.

The beer pours a nice hazy orange color with a nice creamy white head.

The smell and taste are good, but a little one dimensional to me. When I taste it I can only think it tastes like an orange cream sickle. It has a nice orange hop presence with the lactose like sweet malts, but really not much bitterness or hop bite at all. A nice feat, but really not too interesting after a while, a nice creamy feel though.

Not bad but overrated in my opinion. I agree with my friend starrdogg that it is too simple to be in the top 100.
