Good, but it seems like once you get over 9% these big DIPAs start to lose their allure. Smells great--nice mix of tropical fruit, sharp citrus and sweet malts. However, the strong malt presence becomes a bit overbearing in the taste and feel. Would never turn this down, but I much prefer Bodhi, where the hops are free to shine.

Bottled on 09/23/2016. Enjoyed on 01/15/2017.

Low rating most likely due to the 4-month age on this bottle.

Slightly hazy apricot color with a big white head and tons of sticky lacing. Huge citrus hop soaked aromas. Notes of grapefruit, tangerine, underripe pineapple, light pine, and honey dipped bread. Medium body toward full, creamy on the feel and lightly dry on the finish with minimal hint to the abv. I must say I haven't had many TIPA I've enjoyed because the abv usually runs over it, not this one. The gold standard for me on a high abv IPA.

I got the creeper via a beer trade. I loved this DIPA, it is extremely good.

Look: semi-clear golden hue with a thin white head.

Aroma: A wonderful aroma of tropical fruit and citrus and some sweet caramel.

Taste: Lots of Tropical fruit, mango, orange, grapefruit, and pine, a bit of sweet caramel. It is juicy and dank but not too bitter.

Feel: medium body, smooth feel, yet crisp and easy drinking.

Pours a clear gold with semi active carbonation and good lacing. Fruity hoppy smell with a mild metallic quality to it. Crisp and clean hop flavors, very little bitterness, mild fruity zing underneath. Alcohol is masked extremely well, as I would never have guessed this was 10 percent.

In a snifter the beer is a gold color with a fairly large white head and plenty of lace.
Mostly a caramel and pine aroma. Some citrus.
Taste followed the nose and improved on it. Caramel, pine resin, late hit of grapefruit.
Very smooth. Never would guess it is 10% ABV,

12oz bottle, from the 2016 seasonal release. Served in a snifter glass. Pours a clear darker caramel-golden body, one finger white head, good carbonation, smooth lacing. Smells fairly sweet, lots of caramel, heavy resin, fair bit of floral and grapefruit hoppiness. Flavour follows; as a triple IPA it trends towards super sweet, with a hefty resinous bite on the backend. Heavy caramel and grassiness. Mouthfeel is medium-fuller bodied, a touch syrupy, good carbonation, fairly sweet with a big bitter bite on the finish. Essentially, this tastes like a very sweet, caramel heavy beer with a huge bitter grapefruit and floral bite. Just about what you'd expect from a triple IPA.
