Dark copper body; rich, creamy head. Mildly fruity aroma; pear. Toasted, cereal grain flavor with a mild hop bitterness. Medium body; mostly dry finish.
A nice, tasty, festbier. Nothing outstanding, not wrong either. A solid offering from Columbus Brewing Company.

It has a nice golden color with a foamy head that leaves nice lacing on glass, ( poured in to 6 oz sampler). The smell and taste are malty with a sweetness to it. A very easy drinking beer and refreshing . Overall a good beer for the fall.

12oz can PKG 7/12/23 (2 months ago) poured into a mug at fridge temp 5.3% ABV. The beer pours bright light golden amber with off white head. The can gushed a bit on opening and produced a big head but settled to a thin cap and spotty lacing. The aroma is pale and honey malt with floral notes. The taste is bittersweet pale malt with honey sweetness popping through after you adjust to the moderately strong herbal bitterness.
Balanced eventually, but unexpected. The mouthfeel is thin bodied with average carbonation and a mostly dry finish. Cleanly lagered. Overall, very good festbier. Extremely drinkable, but points lost for the strong, lingering bitterness that is out of place for the style.

Good looking dark gold color. Got a frothy head that hung around for a few minutes. Aroma was malty and honey. Taste was easy with mild dryness on the end. Pretty good example of a festbier, maybe a tad sweet.

Amazing taste, especially for Octoberfest beers in America. That is the reason that I buy craft beers, more value. The IBU is 24 and with a 5.3 ABV, a lighter version than some craft beers, but the hops can be tasted. This is 3 times the IBU of Bud! Great brew for this season!

There's something mildly off-putting about the wat the beer finishes. Its a weird twinge of something that doesn't belong. Otherwise this is just okay. Lowkey kind of a dud.
Hmm, maybe it was just that first can. Not remarkable but tastes fine now

Well.....it's "festbier" season, so why not! This is a nice facsimile of a classic German style....good flavor and fun to drink .... What else can I say? Prost!

Got together with some friends to listen to music and drink beer. Thanks to the local BA sots I brought a sixer of this. Dear God what an excellent choice. Everything was fresh and crisp; thirst quenching while not filling. It was a big hit and, unlike the heavier marzens kept you feeling ready for more. Maybe the perfect Oktoberfest at least in the Festbier category.

L: Light caramel in color. Foamy and active. Glossy surface. Clear.
S: Roasty barley. A bit tangy. Sweet notes are minimal and the hops are moderate. Looks as it should.
T: Roasty on the front, tangy in the middle, and mid range bitter all the way through. There are hoppier Octoberfests and sweeter Octoberfests. Something in the hops or conditioning is exceptional and it tastes well.
F: Well balanced and extremely smooth. Relatively light bodied with a moderate amount of hops.
O: Excellent. Supremely drinkable.
