Had this on cask at the CBC Christmas Party at Bob's Bar. Served in a pint glass.

Pours cloudy, nearly black, with a tall frothy head of large soapy bubbles. Lacing was quite evident, but a bit uncouth and lacking in uniformity.

Smells great, just like the regular Brewno. The only issue is that you don't really notice the oak much at all in the aroma.

Again, tastes very similar to regular Brewno. The oak does start to step onto the playing field in the flavor - adding some very welcome depth and nuance. Bits of vanilla and dry wood filter in and out of all the heavy dark malting.

Dry, boy oh boy. If the regular version was dry, this is 3 steps above that. I was constantly smacking my lips and looking for water as I drank through this glass. Not sure if I should be blaming the oak or if I am just noticing this more due to the cask.

Overall a fun beer, but a beer this big needed at least twice as much time sitting on oak before a truly noticeable transformation took place. For now I'll take the unfettered base Brewno over this.

Wife and I had this one on our first trip to Bob's Bar during the Holiday season for the tapping of Cousin Eddie.

A- Pours an odd black color with a fairly thin whiteish colored head. Head becomes just a few large spots and leaves little lacing.

S- Smells not a whole lot different than the regular Brewno that I've ran into a couple of times. Not really picking up any of the oak.

T- Couldn't tell much of a difference in this one from the regular version. We decided to sit on this finished off the regular version and their stout. After quite a bit of warming we could notice the oak but nothing strong.

M- Medium in body and low carbonation.

O- Nothing crazy or vastly different from the regular.
