Package art reflects the taste; vague herbal/botanical notes mixed with subtle fruitiness. Barely bitter, but I'm OK with that. Nice to be able to reach for this among the glut of orange juice flavored hazy slop on the shelf.

On tap in Biddeford,ME at brewery.
Hazy bright orange with a finger plus of tight bubbly white head.
Wonderful aromatics - citrus, pine, pine resin, tropical fruit - mango; as warmed got a distinct vanilla/creamsicle aroma from my childhood.
Palate hits with some sweet pale malt, followed by sticky citrus - orange, a bit of grapefruit and again pine resin - less distinct tropical flavours, but again a bit of vanilla and creamsicle pop up. Subdued piney bitterness.
Medium full mouthfeel with bright carbonation and a soft yet somehow sticky sweet finish. Excellent.

Pours a huge head, three plus fingers deep, bright bleached white color, a bit airy with pockets quickly developing but retention is decent, hardly any stickiness to the lacing. The liquid has a very mild haziness to it, translucent, the yellow color is sort of washed out like rusty pipe water. Extremely malty nose, smells like Cocoa Puffs cereal, then a mild general graininess with quinine and white citrus notes, the white orchard fruit scents barely mutter, close to nonexistent. Light-bodied and smooth, well-carbonated relative to its heft. Mineral water with a certain stoniness adds to its freshness. But, as with the nose, there's not much flesh on the bones. Cereal grains, more cocoa, white grapefruit to blood orange citrus. I think you almost have to try to get an IPA with this little fruit flavor. Vaguely floral, no pine presence. And dankness is out of the question. Maybe they found an IPA recipe circa 1988? All that said, high drinkability and if it were a hot summer day outside could crush a few without thinking twice about it. My can said Citra, Summit and Azacca hops. (Canned 7/9/21)

This beer makes for a fine return to beers with expressly more pine and resin notes than the ever popular hazes. A medium to light body delivers all the botanic goodness that the can's label promises, like a Pacific Northwestern cornucopia.

Smooth, hazy and hoppy. Well-balanced. Will try it again to see if maybe it's even better than I'm giving it credit for.
