Very Good
Notes: Jam packed with citrus, melon, and tropical fruit notes. A simple grain bill of our favorite English malt and Flaked Wheat allows the hops to shine through with full force. Hopped with Citra, El Dorado, Melba, and Blanc.

16 oz can from their release earlier this month. Probably about 3 weeks old at this point.

Hops: Citra, El Dorado, Melba, Blanc

This is a superb, soft, juicy NE IPA. There is a big punch of bitterness on the back end, not sure if it was intentional, but i dig it.

A: The beer is very hazy/cloudy pale yellow in color. It poured with a finger high white head which died down, leaving a large, thin patch of bubbles on the surface and a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Rather complex aromas of citrusy and herbal hops as well as pears are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell, except that the herbal hops aren't as prominent and there are also has additional hints of peaches and pineapples. Little, if any bitterness is perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and crisp on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: In some aspects, this beer almost looks and drinks like a fruit smoothie as it's obviously unfiltered and is packed with lots of aromas and flavors of a blend of fruity hops.

Picked this up at Greenpoint and finally got around to it today, as I've been away from this area for quite some time. Sure, the '80's-inspired can was nice to look at but the liquid inside was just as enjoyable given how strong the quality of this was. Others that I've traded with have stated how underrated this brewery and it's a brew like this that serves as an example of why people feel this way. Lots of wheat, hops, juice, and cream combined to give this plenty of taste, body, and brightness while never seeming overly heavy or forced!

Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was muted, murky, and off-golden with just enough head to complement the beer itself. Plenty of wheat, booze, citrus, and cream in the nose as the taste really took this to another level. Juicy in mouthfeel but dry in the aftertaste, there was a good amount of bread, peach, white grape, light wood, earthy spice, and stone fruit to round out the profile of this. Slick on the palate, the finish was drier than I would have been led to believe though there was so much going on in between the initial sip and the aftertaste as an underlying minty feel kept this crisp and bright in spite of everything going on here. The El Dorado hops gave this a feel different from those of other beers, including Greenpoint's previous offerings that I've had.

Lots of booze and a growing orange creamsicle tone that emerged once I finished this off was the feather in the cap of this beer. Without a doubt, this was one of the best offerings that I had from Greenpoint and was strong enough to stand toe-to-toe with anything else that came from this neck of the woods. Kudos to these guys for giving me so much that was so easily attainable. Would love to have this again!
