Fairly large inside, especially for an indoor bar in midtown Manhattan. Plenty of large, long wooden tables to sit at that can easily accommodate large groups. Fun atmosphere inside and definitely on the noisy side. Service was good, but a tad slow at times. Good, basic selection of German beers on-tap. The large pretzel was massive in size and the beer cheese and mustard dips that accompanied it were delicious. Overall, this is your standard, no-frills German bar.

A big, noisy place. High ceilings, communal tables, large bar.
A dozen or so German beers on tap, with half liter and full liter mugs.
The vegan brats were great, served with red cabbage and sauerkraut.
Awesome service on a busy evening.
Will stop in again next time in NYC.

This is a large German themed restaurant / drinking hall that has high ceilings, plenty of wood, very long wood tables, a big bar that can seat about 25, and loud German drinking music. The night I stopped in there was a large boisterous crowd here so it was noisy. 14 German beers on draft here with a decent variety of styles. Service was actually quite prompt despite the crowds. Bartender understood the beer offerings which was a plus compared to some NYC bars. I did not have any food on this visit. Not a bad place, but a bit loud for trying to relax and enjoy a pint or two.
