Pours a half clear light orange. Fine, soft foam.

The smell is earthy, with lots of piney resin, and a tropical chaser.

The taste starts off with a sweet note, followed by a massive dose of piney hops. Citrus becomes more pronounced during the long, lingering aftertaste. Great stuff!

Medium bodied and pretty sticky, good carbonation.

Overall, a great IPA. More west coast than NE, and the long aftertaste is superb.

Poured from the bottle into a tulip glass.

Slightly lemon yellow body color with a tint of orange. Gets a little muddy when topped up, but also provides just a creamy rich white head, tall and clumpy in three fingers.

Aroma is a great hop mix. Sweet and airy. Pine and fruit, tropical slight exotic with an almost jammy character. Small faint caramel makes a nice balance.

Palate makes a good impression. Juiced earth florals dominate. Thick rich malt depth, almost candy like softness with a taffy like fruit flavor minus sugary sweetness. Clean and dense.

Excellent unique IPA, flirting with greatness but is something all it's own

Drank from a 1 pint, 0.9 fluid ounces bottle purchased at Stoneface Brewing Co., Newington, NH
Served in a pint glass

Outstanding appearance. The hazy, yellow ochre liquid was topped by a tight, frothy, fluffy, two-finger tall, off white crown. A curtain of drippy lacing coated the glass and lasted until the beer was finished.

Really nice aroma. Quite hoppy and citrusy. Fruity. Lots of orange peel. Some grapefruit and tropical fruits came through as well. Mango, papaya and passionfruit were noticeable. Moderately dank and weed-like. Slightly sweet. Pleasant, but perhaps the nose could have been a bit more intense. As the beer warmed, the aroma totally reminded me of orange juice.

Grapefruit dominated in the flavor profile. White grapefruit to be precise. This tasted like a simcoe hop bomb. Slight malt sweetness up front before the hops took over. Super dry and pithy with loads of rind-like bitterness. The lingering finish was ultra piney and dry. Pine needles came to mind. Some grapefruit rind as well. Solid overall but a bit one-dimensional.

The mouthfeel was lighter bodied for the style but still frothy, fluffy, creamy and slick on the palate. The liquid contained a fine, moderate effervescence.

This is a respectable IPA but it is definitely not as impressive as the scores would suggest. If you like bitter, grapefruit-forward hoppy beers, then this might be right up your alley.

Pours slightly hazy light golden yellow with a billowy white head, clinging. Lasting the length of the glass.

Feint smell. Weak.

Bitter, thin, just ok. However it's balanced.

Overall an OK IPA in a sea of great IPAs

My second bottle of this; had tried it about a month ago... Now putting thoughts into reality... Got this 0.5l bottle locally tonight for $5.50....

Sampling it with a small tulip.... Hard pour, in she goes... Has a slightly cloudy, apricot/orange color, with a soft, fluffy white head. The foam lasts quite well, and the lacing is exquisite. The aroma is all hops... very fruity and enticing, with apricot, orange-marmalade, grapefruit and pineapple. The body is a good medium to medium-plus, and it is quite smooth going down.

Flavor is light on malt and heavy on hops. There is a bit of semi-sweet, toasty malt, but it's short-lived. It's mostly fruity notes hitting the palate: apricot, tangerine, some peach, a bit of pineapple. It finishes with the hops lingering quite nicely. Not a killer IPA, but solid nonetheless. Prosit!!

Poured from a bottle (bottles sold 1-4pm weekdays, otherwise growler fills) in a tulip, three day old bottling. I had it on draft with a fresh keg the day before and I am not tasting too large a difference. Just a fantastic IPA. Beautiful nose, citrus, grapefruit, 2 finger lacey head that dissipates. Nice color, goes down well for 7.2% ABV, no bitter after taste. I am pretty pumped to be so close to the brewery. I'll be back to purchase a log.
