Our robust porter utilizes a myriad of dark malts that impart coffee and chocolate notes. This roasty profile makes for a smooth and incredibly drinkable beer. Medium bodied, balanced and finishing slightly dry, our Porter is perfectly suited for enjoying multiple pints.

16 ounce can - $2.75 at Woodstock Beer Market in Woodstock, Georgia.
Appearance: Spews forth a black-toned body topped with a lightly creamy-looking, light beige head.
Smell: Pleasant blackened, roasted barley nose with bitterish elements of coffee and unsweetened chocolate. A little licorice, blistered dark fruit skins.
Taste: A little toast, but leaning roasty with touches of bakers chocolate, medium-roast coffee. Licorice, restrained charred dark fruitiness. Subtle hop character with enough bitterness adjoined the roasty qualities to balance things out. A nice smooth finish with a final taste of chocolate-covered coffee bean.
Mouthfeel: Medium-bodied. Medium-soft carbonation. Lightly smooth mouthfeel adds a bit of creaminess, though there's still a good bit of levity to the mouthfeel.
Overall: Very likable.

Quite a good tasting porter, I could see myself having this on a regular basis if it were local (and Founders Porter wasn’t)
Deeper coffee and cocoa flavors are present and just enough hops bite to give it an edge. Well done.

Pours a dark brown with a tall tan head that ends as light lacing.
Smells and tastes of roasted malt, molasses, coffee and chocolate with a moderately bitter finish.
Medium body with light carbonation. Dry mouthfeel.
This brew is bitter , beginning to end. There is a bit of malt sweetness and that's it. It's tasty, light on the ABV but not what I would call "easy drinking".

Something was wrong with this beer. The first sip was very sour and nothing like any Porter I have ever tasted, and I have consumed many. After managing to finish the pint, I looked on the bottom and noticed that it was 3 months past the expiration date. I have never paid much attention to these dates but I guess beer does go bad. Given the good reviews, I may give it another try but not this batch.

Did this beer all of a sudden get a very smoky flavor? I've loved this beer for years but the last 2 4-packs have tasted like liquid smoke. Not a fan of the change.

One of my favorite American Porters. Very robust, and deep bodied.

I knew I'd had this before but seemingly never reviewed. Yup, this is one very tasty and full-bodied porter for its relatively low ABV. Wow, such a great mix of malts that are never too aggressively burnt/bitter. Some chocolate notes and even a slight semi-sweetnees on the finish. Delicious stuff.

The Stoneface description, 'Our Porter is perfectly suited for enjoying multiple pints' has been field tested and proven to be true. Had a couple at our campfire jam, and having another here. My go-to Porter these days.

Appearance: It pours basically pitch black, like black coffee. A nice brown three-finger head with good retention.
Smell: Malty, rich toffee chocolate notes. I like it!
Taste: Toasted malts and the smallest hint of baker’s chocolate but that’s it. No toffee or coffee which I was hoping for.
Mouthfeel: Not much to write home about. It merely…exists. Not as pleasant as a Guinness.
Overall: Below average for me. If it tasted as good as it smelled it would be a 4+ easy but sadly that’s just not the case. The taste also vanishes rapidly leaving you with a slight bitter taste and nothing else. 2.25
