Bought a can of this beer at the Beer Shop in East Longmeadow, MA. The beer is mostly a golden yellow color, not too murky, with a thick head that dissipates with nice retention. Aromas include a mango, pineapple citrus smell. Taste follows the nose with a malty aftertaste. Medium body. Overall, great look, smell, and especially taste.

Pint can

A hazy, orange hued honey color with a tight and thick all white foam cap holding on strong. Excellent clumpy lace.

A sweet and fruity hop aroma dominates with a solid honey scented malt under that. The fruity aspect to the hops are mostly tropical fruit style, pineapple, orange, honey dew mellon and mild spice.

The first impression hits me with a gentle tropical fruity hop flavor, balanced very well with a solid, honey-bread malt and effective English ale yeast that has some very lush and deep notes. Juicy feel with a crisp malty bite that flows into a juicy feel again at the end.
The sweet, juicy hops meld perfectly with this bready sweet malt. Together, they equal more than the sum of their ingredients.

A very easy drinker some some good complexity and a rather outstanding malty backbone.

Found this at my local store the other day and remember someone telling me I have to try it at some point. Cracked the can and could immediately smell tropical and fruity hops right off the bat. Very smooth feel but almost lacking something on the mouth. Taste wasn't as strong as the initial smell but still was damn good. Another solid American IPA by a great brewery but not something I would go out of my way searching for.

Picked-up a four-pack of cans at Long Ridge Wine and Spirits for about thirteen dollars. This is a finexpensive brew, but nothing extraordinary. Stoneface beers are good, but very expensive. Far better options for the price.

Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Hill Farmstead stemmed tulip.

a: Cloudy orange/gold with a two inch thick white head which receded to a pillow of surface foam and dense lacing.

s: Slight citrus.

t: Citrusy hop bite up front over a chewy medium biscuit malt base.

m: Medium plus, great body and some carbonation tingle.

o; outstanding IPA at the higher end of sessionable. Flavorful and substantial.

The ‘hop swap’ was better.
