Notes: A big, juicy, New England style double IPA that takes Full Clip over the edge! Using the same yeast and similar malt bill as Full Clip, but with a bigger, bolder hop profile. The result is a hazy, flavorful IPA with a very soft mouthfeel.
Fun Fact: This is considered the “juicy” double in our portfolio. Dry hopped with over 3 pounds of hops per barrel!

Poured from a growler filled at the brewery.

Pours a completely opaque golden orange color with a finger of bright white head. The head settles into a thin film, leaving plenty of lacing around the top of the glass as it dissipates.

The aroma brings notes of tangerine, orange peel, and grapefruit. There's also a fair amount of honeydew melon and cantaloupe. The back end is quite grassy and herbal with a subtle caramel malt backbone.

The flavor starts off with tropical fruit notes, followed by orange juice and subtle grapefruit. There's some sweet malt, before an extremely vegetal finish. It seriously tastes a bit like broccoli in the end there. Broccoli and weed.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Very soft, creamy and smooth. The alcohol is very well hidden.

Overall, a very good DIPA that's a bit less balanced than the typical Stoneface beer, but still extremely flavorful and "juicy".

From the 16 oz. can dated 11/08/17. Sampled on November 20, 2017.

The pour is a pulpy. murky looking light amber with a long lasting whit head that leaves lacing.

The aroma expresses an array of tropical fruit, citrus, pine and all those hop characteristics you expect from a New England style IPA. Sourdough bread to offset that. Also a mild sweetness.

Medium to full body. Juicy too like a Spritzer.

If you like sweet grapefruit and pineapple in your beer you will get that in the flavor. Just bitter beyond belief. Juicy. Zingy. Yup, this is a New England IPA.

Poured into a 13 oz Weyerbacher tulip glass canned on 5/5/17. Pours a very hazy orange with a two finger sticky white head that leaves behind loads of thick lace.

Smell is guava, papaya, mango, pinapple, apricot, and grapefruit rind.

Taste follows guava, papaya, tangerine, pinapple, apricot, and mild grapefruit really tropical and juicy.

Mouthfeel is a little bigger than medium, moderate carbonation, not dry, and drinks do easy at 7.8% ABV.

Overall this is a excellent New England Style DIPA that in my opinion will hold its own with all of the greats.

Canned two weeks ago. Pours an intensely hazy orange juice color. Tons of dank weedy resins and citrus on the nose. Flavors are more one dimensional orange/red grapefruit hop essential oils . Fairly sweet pale malt backbone. Nice and drinkable, practically no bitterness whatsoever. Far exceeded expectations

16oz can dated 5/5/17.

Pours murky gold with a cream of wheat head. Decent retention and lacing. Aromatics are straight up tropical hops with peach up front with some mango and candied pineapple. Medium bodied with a creamy, soft mouthfeel. Peach, mango, tangerine, and melons on the palate. A bittering dryness steps forward along with a hint of honey-drizzled dough and some mild alcohol. Finishes with lingering candied citrus and some light booze.

Great beer. Quite juicy and soft and reminiscent of Trillium.

16oz can from Brewery: this one pours a murky, orange tinged golden color. There was a finger of a frothy white head that leaves some lacing. Good nose! Melon, grapefruit, pineapple, mango, lemon, and a host of other tropical hop notes. The taste is very good. Juicy, yet a touch of bitterness coming up in the finish. Lots of the aforementioned hop flavors. Very Nice. I've been likeing the offerings from these guys a lot!

Golden color and crystal clear. The moderate head leaves ample blanketing lace and streaks.

The smell starts flowery but soon it becomes more weedy and vegetal.

I get pale malted barley and alcohol initially. The hop comes on strong and completely dominates the beer, leaving a long bitter aftertaste. I like the creamy presence throughout.

Double your pleasure, double your fun! Bring back the cheesy 1980's television commercials because this "double" IPA of Stoneface Brewing has a hard time describing its radiant flavor and smooth feel. So "juicy fruit" might be the most apt of descriptors.

Very hazy but never off putting or turbid, the soft glow of golden and orange colors slowly build a tall, stubborn sepia froth. Rife with a blend of citrus and tropical fruit, the beer, despite of its stern alcohol content might be suitable for breakfast. Smoothie-like in its taste, the moderately rich pastry maltiness shares suggestions of honey, light caramel, cashew and shortbread.

As the hops unfold on the middle palate, the rife character of citrus leaps right out with mandarin orange, red grapefruit, branch ripe kumquat and a pep of yuzu for an extra zippy twang. The exotic character of tropical fruit quickly joins the flavor profile with the uniqueness of mango, papaya, pineapple and light apricot. As the middle palate comes to a close, the smooth and moderate bitterness of lemongrass, tea leaf, verbena and freshly shaven spruce adds a peppery taste for balance and tightness.

Medium full on the palate, the New England nature of the malt and fruit lingers long on the palate, giving the growing hop bitterness a continued offset for a higher degree of flavor rewards at the slight determent of dryness and drinkability. The alcohol spice of gin brings a botanical, eucalyptus character to the finish with the hop bitterness reaching slightly past the alcohol spice and cereal grain influences.

Its pretty sad when I have to buy this out of state because my area of NH doesn't seem to see much Stoneface. End rant. Bought at Colonial Spirits canned 5/5/17. Hazy murky deep grapefruit yellow with a huge tightly bubbled white head that lasts forever. The nose is dripping with citrus. Light orange and overripe grapefruit abound. Sweet bready malt and light pine and earth with just a hint of alcohol round this out. The flavor is mostly juice and resinous alcohol. There's a bready toasty maltiness in the flavor that seems to clash a little with the fruitiness but its a pretty tasty beer.

Had on tap. Pours hazy tan in color with 1/4 inch head. Taste is guave, honey, grain, and melon. Medium bodied, juicy, nice combination of sweet and bitter...Makes for a unique and tasty IPA. First beer from the brewery and I gotta say it makes me want to try more. Really tasty IPA.

Poured out as a hazy orange color with a nice looking white head on top. The smell of the beer has a very nice inviting hop aroma. The taste is well balanced with the malt and then hops charging in. The feel is medium bodied. Overall it's a solid brew, really well done.
