On draft at Republic at the Linden, Hartford, CT.

A- Strange appearance from the taps to a snifter. No head forms and the beer itself is some strange murky, muddy pale apricot-peach hue. Lacing is non-existent and this one resembles a very raw juice.

S- A good balance of citrus, juicy stone fruit and floral hops. On the fruity side for sure. Just under pungent but good strength. Mango, peach, tangerine and melon notes.

T- Again juicy but a bit more citrus here with tangerine and grapefruit taking a place in the foreground. Juicy with all of the notes mentioned in the aroma. Hints of cereal and bread from the malts. Dank melon, mango, and all around tropical.

MF- Medium body overall with a moderate amount of carbonation. A bit of an oily slickness and slight frothy creamy texture. Smooth.

The appearance is certainly lacking but everything else is solid. A good mix of citrus and tropical fruits from the hops.

16oz can sent to me from my dad! He said it was from 4/24/17, poured into a large snifter. Murky orange juice color with a white fluffy head that slowly fades when consumed, solid lacing when consumed also! The smell is cracker malts, citrus hops, fruit notes, pine. The taste definitely mirrors the smell with a nice green hop bite at the end. The feel is soft and full with little carbonation. Overall i liked it a lot and giving the brewery is from CT it definitely matches the NE style. I will seek more of their offerings, Cheers

Had two on draft, excellent beer. Looks unfiltered, but I don't know if it is. I would definitely get it again.

pours a dark orange, very murky color. nice foamy head that dissipates quickly into awesome lacing. smell is pretty muted, but I got juicy grapefruit, a little bit of peach, and a doughy malt. the taste was very different than the smell however: it starts out extremely juicy with peach and grapefruit flavors, then leads way to drier citrus like lemons and the juiciness disappears. it ends with some pine and grass and a sweet (but not extreme tasting) malt. this is still a juicy hop bomb despite the sweet malt. feel was great for a DIPA. this brew stole the night for me, very Massachusetts-like. seek this one out.

My first was a pint can purchase from the connoisseur area of my local set up for sampling. This IIPA poured cloudy orange with a great bounty of hop / fruit aroma. I love hoppy imperial India pale ales and the first taste didn’t disappoint. The mouthful is not harsh and is smooth to your palate with the swallow. I found the fruit hop flavor after taste is very pleasing with no bitter after taste and the performance works as they describe on their site. I highly recommend locals or anyone else sample a Nummy Nummy if you have the opportunity. I never knew of the Stubborn Beauty Beer Co. but I’ll have to visit the brewery as it’s just down the road from my drummers’ house. THUMBS UP!! So many Beers so little time...............
