Very Good
IPAIPA
Notes: Our India Pale Ale features an abundance of hop character gained from 5 separate additions of hops including the use of whole-cone Simcoe and Citra hops in our hop jack. Notes of citrus fruit and grass in the aroma are followed by a rounded flavor of citrus and pine.

a nice pint of ale here, an easy drinking clearish golden ipa with a bright dry hop aroma, i would have guessed mosaic, i thought it had a nice fruity complexion with pineapple and pine up front, it surprises me to read simcoe and citra here, a familiar combination but somewhat less abrasive on the simcoe side here than i am used to. very drinkable, lighter bodied and without a huge contribution from the malt. the hops have white grape, peach, and kiwi fruit undertones, but also a northwestern woodsy vibe, even without much finishing bitterness. there is great carbonation here and it makes the beer drink light, flavorless yeast but a clean fermentation. mostly dry hopped, they really get the best out of the hops here, the use of whole cones appears evident to me, and overall this is an ipa i could drink pint after pint of all day. i have been really impressed with gun hill in limited exposure, i hope to have the chance to visit their brewery later this week while i am in new york city! i have liked all their stuff so far...

L: Hazy gold with a creamy white head. Excellent retention and lacing.

S: Sweet citrus, lots of orange zest, grapefruit, and lemon; a slight peach and pineapple note, some earthy dankness, passion fruit.

T: Really light orange drink/Sunny D, grapefruit zest, peach, pineapple, passionfruit. Very soft, lightly citrusy and tropical, but well-balanced with a soft doughy white bread malt. Really nice undertones of buttery biscuits, but then an onslaught of orange peel, peach, and pineapple. Finishes dry with a hint of earth and dankness, but super clean with no residual bitternes.

F: Medium bodied, well-rounded, smooth, moderately carbonated, very slick and bready.

O: A fantastic IPA. Excellent.

Medium-pale gold body, faint haze, two fingers of white foam, some lacing trails behind... Nice combination of Simcoe and Citra hop impressions, from grassy, earthy, and grainy, to lightly sweet and mostly dry pith and citrus... Light feel with moderate carbonation and a clean finish... Malts are fairly well-established, bringing a nice balance to the beer...

Looks like a pilsner. Dark floral scent of deep woods. Light crisp and hop forward start that dissipates gradually to a refreshing even keeled pine finish which lingers for days.

Half growler from Premier Gourmet. Golden looks with head, good hop aroma. Forward hops. The finish was acidic, that can take some working on. Decent sippability only.
