Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.

Poured very flat with little to no head right away. Look is extremely hazy with lots of floaters.

Light mango and citrus on the nose.

Mango really comes through on the taste too. Not much bitterness, but awfully delicious.

Very little body to distinguish.

Excellent new wave IPA.

L: this pours a hazy golden color. It's not completely opaque, but the floaters are there, and for a reason. (From a tall boy)

S: very tropical. I get melon, mango, and papaya. Very inviting and even sweet. It's my favorite thing about this beer.

T: derivative of the nose – sweet and tropical. Mostly well balanced, some booziness pokes through at the end, but only a little. It's unapologetically Northeast

F: velvety, juicy, and full, it's lovely.

O: one of my favorite IPAs. Highly underrated. As good, and sometimes better than some GRIMM offerings.

A- The tall can drops a murky golden brew into my chalice. Atop the beer a thick and creamy white head forms to about a finger high with pretty good retention. The head drops to a wide belt and lacing forms with spots and a few webs. A second pour from the bottom reveals some intense white floaties.

S- The nose is very distinctly all about the hops with a unique profile that is centered around delicate citrus that brings all of the brightness of tangerines and clementines but lacks any sweet zest of an orange or grapefruit. Bright citrus is beyond the best descriptor here. A hint of tropical fruit like passionfruit and pineapple. Strong but not pungent.

T- More like a tropical and citrus fruit nectar here than in the aroma. The tangerine and clementine are basically equaled by a strong presence of mango, peach and pineapple. Other things that are exposed are ruby red grapefruit, satsuma mandarins, dank herbs, melon and floral notes. Yeast is superbly clean and just a hint of cereal grains comes out. A tiny bit of citrus pith as well.

MF- Light to medium overall thickness with a consistency that feels both frothy and creamy. Carbonation is at a medium level and that might be the only thing lacking in this department; the crack of the can was somewhat quiet. Ends with a slightly sharp citrus zest bitterness.

Gun Hill has a strong IPA game apparently. My first brew from them and hopefully not even close to the last. Can't wait to get back to NYC and explore what seems to be a scene that is opening up exponentially at the moment.

This beer pours a cloudy golden orange with a shit ton of white floaties. The head is half a finger of loose bubbles and off white. It seems oddly small for how aggressively I poured it. Retention is also minimal, but there is a ton of thin, webbed lacing.

Smell is on point. Very Trillium-esque, bright and fruity. Tangerine, candied orange, grapefruit, pineapple and citrus pith explode out of the glass.

Taste is the same. Juicy at the start and transitions wonderfully into a moderately bitter finish.

Feel is soft, light and pillowy. My major gripe is that it is severely under carbonated.

Overall this is a very very good beer from an up and coming NY brewery. It most definitely has the potential to take the step up into the world class category, but it needs some fine tuning first. Most notably more carbonation.

Phenomenal nose of tangerine and ripe fruit. Pours a straw yellow with minimal head yet terrific lacing. The only negative is the floaties which are easily overlooked because of the amazing juicy, citrusy taste.
