Light haze to the golden color. Moderate head which leaves some chunky, spotty lace.

Slightly weedy with a distinct bittering, grapefruit hop. Strong enough bitterness to be described as harsh.

Relatively thin body with a moderate carbonation level. The hop bitterness, while strong and dominating, is not extreme. The malt is nearly not existent. Long aftertaste, naturally.

3%? How is it even possible to get this much flavor into a 3% beer? If you're looking for a tasty daily dose of hops without seeing stars, this beer is a must have in your fridge.

16oz can served in a pint glass. Don't see a date on it. Given to me by @mr-jj.

Pours hazy with a big head (coarse) that fades fast, lots of carbonation. Smell is mosaic hops -- creamy and juicy, lemon bitter spike in there.

Taste is hop tea. Very tasty hop tea, though. I see where the name comes from. Definitely reminds me of mango + citrus + soft serve.

Mouthfeel is very thin, very dry. Overall, this is the best session IPA I've ever had.

Ooooh, my first beer from this brewery which is not too far away, yet never had anything. Unfortunately a hop that can be horrible if the wrong batch, so we'll see. No canning date

pours a huge 2 finger fluffy foamy bubbly head that fades semi quickly, little spotty lacing, murky yellow golden color.

Nose is what I was unfortunately expecting, dank musty mosaic, with a little green onion and horseradish, little pine sap, a bit of mango skin and dragon fruit, little background tart passion fruit, touch of citrus.

Taste brings some herbal tea out front, iced tea and a little fruity, tart passion fruit in the background again, little kiwi thing, and berry somehow, touch of pine and sap in the background, thankfully no onion this time, but so much herbal tea, little spicy hop and citrus rind, creamy base malt, some orange or tangerine juice coming through later with generic dank tropical notes. very little bitterness until the end and a fair bitterness.

Mouth is med to lighter bod, decent fluffy carb, a touch creamy.

Overall bleh, not good by any aspect, nose is the pine sap onion, taste was herbal tea, again reiterating how much I don't like mosaic. I won't hold this against the brewery though.

Well, what have we here? A 3% IPA with lactose and Mosaic hops billed as a "soft serve IPA," I guess? Omnipollo, Stillwater and a few other breweries have been making lactose-dosed IPAs recently, so this isn't too out-of-the-ordinary for me. That insanely low ABV is definitely something else, though, considering even the lightest of Omnipollo lactose-IPA offerings are in the 5-6% realm by my recollection. Also, Mosaic tends to be a very difficult hop to work with as a single-hop, and I predict that will only be more brutally-obvious in such a small beer with lactose, in which the hopping rates must be intense to keep up with the residual sweetness from the unfermentable sugar. But... okay Gun Hill, do whatever you want I guess? Also, your can design is really bad and painful for me to look at, so maybe fix that.

Pours a mostly hazy yellow-gold color with a sparkling several fingers of head that actually seems to have a nice bit of vivacity to it. Though it mostly peters out over the course of several minutes, its initial showing seems pretty nice, if uneven. Surface has some moderate haze. Lace seems meh, but dependent on how this sips and drinks it could end up being pretty good. Tough to tell from initial pour considering the weak head formation. Though retention is alright, this is pretty average overall.

Nose is very Mosaic heavy... I get some pine and dank greenery, grassiness, blueberry, raspberry and pungent citrus pith combined with some creamy vanilla and pale malt. I assume the lactose is affecting this a little bit, but the simple grain bill seems to surprisingly punch through the intense hoppiness here and there.

Flavor is citrusy, aspirin-forward and moderately chalky with pine-y "hop pellet" aspects, but there are also some nice berry flavors from the Mosaic hops here. The finishing note is insanely bitter and almost too much for me. I guarantee this would be an awful beer for any hop-neophyte to try, but if you like bitter, low ABV pale ales, this is gonna throw your tongue for a loop. Some tropical fruit aspects (mango and guava, mainly) come out as it warms a bit. Very green, though, overall.

Feel is, as detailed above, fairly chalky and yeasty despite the allegedly-"smoothing" aspect of lactose. Carbonation feels pretty detailed but the overall product seems like a stronger beer than it is and ends up coming off a little "immature," as it were. I don't know what the point of this being 3% is, but maybe I'm just being a stick in the mud here. If this were a regular ol' 6-7% IPA, I could see it being a lot better, as the hop treatment is pretty nice and the recipe could easily be scaled to such an extent with just about similar hop expression without losing much in the end. Weird experiment, but could have probably been worse than it actually was. I enjoyed this more than I honestly expected to.

Very impressive how much flavor, balanced flavor, there is in this low ABV beer. It has a similar flavor profile as a double IPA.
