Smell: Chocolate and a hint of alcohol
Taste: It's not that good. Very average porter. Or I don't like porters

From the Advent calendar.
It pours a very dark brown with a good head of tannish foam, good lacing.
I get notes of lactose and big chocolate,
vanilla, some roasted malt.
Big milk chocolate flavour, vanilla follows, roasted malt is almost like it is burnt. Very little bitterness and the sweet isn't over the top. Nice chocolate malty finish and aftertaste.
Maybe not quite medium body with light carbonation.
So drinkable and tasty.

Poured from can into plastic beer cup. Dark brown cola appearance. Thin tan head. Aroma of roast barley and hop tang. Smooth mouth. Taste is liquid chocolate, dark roast barley, stone, dark fruit and just a bit of coconut with tangy grassy hop finish. Classy. Very drinkable as I see my cup empty quickly.

Enjoyed at the walk up bar at Marco island brewery, 10/9/21. Malty and iron aromas, beautiful tan head, smooth mouthfeel. Flavor of coconut, chocolate, and molasses followed by a nice stoney, bitter tang

I tried this beer off the tapper at Oak & Stone Restaurant in Naples, Florida. The beer poured an opaque dark with fluffy tan head that did not leave much ace. The scent had chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with sweet chocolate highlights. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it was a great beer!

Poured from a 12 oz can into a St. Arnold Icon glass.
L - Dark mahogany brown and totally opaque (as appropriate). Dark tan head of tiny bubbles is fairly persistent and also forms thick lacing.
S - Wonderful aroma of hot chocolate, lightly roasted coffee and Kahlua-like alcohol. Reminds me of a Black Russian cocktail.
T - Mostly porter flavors with coffee-like roast grains. Low chocolate milk . No yeast or hops to note.
F - Medium body with a somewhat sweet finish; medium-high carbonation. Low bitterness. Low alcohol presence.
O - A tasty porter with some chocolate milk characteristics, but it's stronger in the aroma than the flavor.

My favorite chocolate porter. 1st had it at SeaWorld Orlando and it made a fan of me. Has a really nice chocolate flavor, light bodied with appropriate carbonation. Great flavor!

Pours light and dark with a big foamy head that tastes great. Aroma is dark roasted malt, some chocolate, a little yeasty. Has a really nice chocolate flavor, light bodied with appropriate carbonation. Great flavor for 5.6%. Quite enjoyable, I would drink again.

Poured a brown body with minimal tan head and constant lace patches down the glass. The aroma is basically chocolate malt, hints of roasted malts as well, and the beer itself is pretty much the same. Smooth, milky/lactic slickness, sweet beer of chocolate but touch of roasted malts give enough balance to keep from cloying and it finishes easy.

Very dark, slightly translucent; A thin tan head, not much lacing; The aroma is distinctly chocolate, and unusual smell for boor; The flavor is mild and smooth and rich - chocolate beer. The carbonation is quite mild. The aroma and flavor are intriguing - something different. The mouthfeel, like many porters and stouts, falls a little short.

Pouring dark brown at first, it actually fills to a lighter colored melted milk chocolate, building a tall airy tan foam that collapses in huge fits to nothing but a thin chain.
Creamy sweet milk chocolate comes out first, which transitions to cacao while quickly picking up more traditional, almost woody, toasty notes of malt, coming to an even semi-bitter herbal finish. With what looks like all that chocolate in the beer, I'm rather impressed by the quick, dichotomous turn to old school maturity.
Feel is slickly light with a faintly crisp carbonation finishing semi-dry.

Oooh I like this one! Great smell and taste. The chocolate flavor could be a bit more present but it is still really good. The head wasn’t the best but color through and through was solid.

12oz can served in a little plastic hotel cup. Best before 29 June 2019.
Pours black with a small creamy head and medium carbonation. Smell is chocolate and roasted malts, maybe a hint of coffee if you don't already know it's a beer.
Taste is chocolate, sweet but not cloying, with some roast coffee bitterness to keep it interesting.
Mouthfeel is thick but not chewy. Overall, solid beer. If you're looking for a chocolate beer, it's a good choice. If you want to pour it over vanilla ice cream, also a good choice.

12 oz can...best before dating of 4-29-19 stamped on the bottom
Pours dark and stout like, moderate cap leaves ample strands of fine lacing left on the glass
Rich milk chocolate note on the nose
Smooth and easy drinking brew, with more and more chocolate notes....another quality brew from the good folks at JDubs
