A - Aggressive pour into a chalice resulted in a one finger head. Minimal lacing. Color is that of a porter- nearly opaque while translucent.

S – Burnt coffee, malt, dark chocolate, oats, and lactose.

T – Unbelievably good. Extremely fresh. I'm not sure whether or not this is because of ideal shipping methods or the short distance between the producer and myself. Either way, fresh as it gets. This brew is sweet but not at all sickly sweet. It's akin to a semi-sweet chocolate without the bitterness. The oats also really come through.

M – Crisp and clean. No oil slick here. No lingering aftertaste. Fantastic. I have no complaints.

D – This was never intended to be a session beer due to the ABV. However, with that being said, if there ever was a porter that I would enjoy en mass, this could very well be a contender. This brew is really fantastic in so many ways. It's light, enjoyable, and unique. Give it a chance. You wont regret it.

Black in color with minimal light penetration. There's a fingernail of brown around half of the rim. The aroma is of Hershey's cocoa powder and lactose. It definitely tastes exactly like milk chocolate cocoa powder and lactose and is extremely sweet. The mouth is dry and a touch watery, which seems to suit what is going on here.

12 oz can from Florida.
Very fizzy tan head over an opaque body.
Mild but pleasant aroma with chocolate, roasted nuts and brown bread notes.
Moderatrly strong and lightly sweet flavor.
Near creamy smooth body with medium - light carbonation

12oz can. The aroma is sweet and chocolatey, more like a dessert than a beer. The taste like the aroma has a lingering sweetness with some roasted malts in the background and a smooth chocolatey finish.

Had this as a 4-oz pour as part of a sampler at Whole Foods in Destin, Florida.

Great look, nice coffee aroma, great mouth-feel and flavor. I liked it a little more than the Abita Bourbon Street Imperial Stout I was also sampling, which says something considering the Abita imperial stout is 10%, and this milk stout is only 5.6%. Also, I liked it much more than the Cigar City Cubano-style Espresso Brown I had days before.
