Pale & Crystal Malts are the foundation of this beer made with American ingredients. A heavy dose of Columbus & Palisade Hops add bitterness & a thirst-quenching flavor & a final touch of Cascade Hops give it a strong citrusy aroma.

My local bodega in Park Slope - "ace" - carries this brewer and 100 crafts.
All their beers are oddly bitey, but minerally. In this category I always prefer Dales Pale Ale.
a: Flattish, white head, a bit of lace, very tarnished dark amber, rusty body.
s: Odd hops profile, with overripe fruit, nut, belgian bite, malt sweetness. A bit stinky.
t: Odd as the smell, mineral, cidery, almost spoiled and sour, craggy, but some how tasty, while being stinky.
f: Was good with veggie chicken soup and will be good with cheese and meats. Cidery feel.
o: OK - as strange as a pale ale gets.

A nice burnt orange with a firm two fingers of long standing foam. Lots of lace and the beer stays covered.
Nose is like a hybrid English/American ale. Toffee and light sweet malt. Very lightly fruity. Hops are herbal and mild.
Taste gives a mood to England as well. Toffee front with sweet malt and a bit of bread. Some mineral edge. A bit of grain husk that flows into what seems like nugget hops bittering. This is where it turns footrests towards America. High alpha bite and relativity clean yeast. Hop oil coats the mouth to create a very dry short finish.
Feel is excellent. Medium body, full without being thick. Carbonation is a microfine effervescence that is velvety, giving a smooth creamy flow and swallow.
An excellent pale ale that sets itself apart by not following any other formula. Hoppy, drinkable and quite sessionable.

This beer seems to have some issues. Not mine tonight mind you, but overall. Ratings are all over the board. Even my previous check-in on Untappd was only 2.75. Today's draft a solid 4.0. Look, smell, and certainly taste all great. Give it a try.

Served in a conical pint at the Broken Bow Brewery in Tuckahoe, NY.
A: Pours a dark golden to light amber color with a minimal, white head, with amber, rusty body. Limited lacing.
S: Earthy almost sweaty aroma initially, with vegetable, citrus and toast notes secondarily.
T: Sweet and earthy initially, with flavors largely following nose.
M: Medium bodied with very light carbonation.
O: Certainly drinkable; not really the aroma and flavor characteristics I expect from a pale ale. Interesting.

Poured from a 12 oz. can. Despite no agitation and a gentle pour, this beer had an amber color with two inches of head. Smell is of caramel malts, sweet. Taste is odd. Malts, vinegar, sour, very light hops. Feels medium bodied in the mouth and overall this beer is best avoided.

It was more of an amber color, taste was sweet but a little different than I have had before. It formed a good head when poured in glass. Overall a nice beer with a somewhat unexpected sweetness.

Didn't look like a pale ale. It was somewhere between Amber and brown. Belgian mouthfeel. Good balance of caramel malts and hops. Very drinkable. Served on tap.

Decent look to this one, but the first thing I notice is that is quite dark for a "pale " ale....Kind of a sugary nose, and then again on the sweet side on the palate. Tastes and looks much more like a brown ale...I do get a hint of a vegetably off note..meh

At Broken Bow, pulled from tap. Color a rosy amber. Good lace. Belgian-y.
