Canned 6/25
Pours a giant pillowy foamy head that fades slowly, soapy lacing, hazy blond color
Nose big farmhouse but not funk, spices, mild phenol notes, plenty of fruity esters, lots of apple and lemon citrus, little cracker malt, gristy and bread dough
Taste very tart, like fermented bread dough and lemon juice, quite lemony and fair acidity with lacto creamy sourness, a little gristy doughy malt and wheat, bit fruity, flemmy lactic finish, more lemon
Mouth is med to lighter bod, creamy and flemmy acidic lacto, decent carb
Overall not bad, expected more like a farmhouse saison than sour but nice, good blend of base beer and sour lemony

Thanks to BrutalFarce for this one, from his ninja box during Rookies BIF #2. 16oz can poured into 14oz teku. Poured a lightly hazy medium yellow color with over an inch of fluffy white head that good retention and light lacing.
The aroma had a light grain base, some yeasty spice, a noticeable tartness, and just a wee touch of funk.
Pretty similar on the tongue, with the grain being a bit bolder and the spice more subdued.
The body was medium-light, smooth, crisp, and had an extra dry finish.
Drinkability was very good, I could easily see keeping some of these around as change-of-pace beers.
Overall, a pretty nice brew, certainly worth trying if you get the chance.

Pint can poured into a pokal at 46f.
Pours a clear golden yellow, with a quick fizzy 1 1/2 finger head that recedes quickly to a bubbly cap. Endless streams of bubbles flowing up and keeping that cap alive, but a lot of that is due to my glassware choice tonight.
Nose is very pale malt, wheat, hay, grass, lemon and lime zesty, a touch of farmy lacto funk. Unassuming nose.
Palate is very very tart lacto. Gives impressions of lemon juice, Greek yogurt, wet hay, wheat, and there's also some Cascade hop character. Not a whole lot, but it gives an added layer of citrus, a tiny hint of bitterness, which adds balance to the mix of wheat and tart, and maybe a little note of pine. Hopping is subtle. The wheat does lend a sweetness that I'm not crazy about, but it''s not that "tacky wheat" that i often complain about. It''s obvious that there is more to the grist than juat wheat. Tartness. This is one to make you pucker. Like taking a lick of a lemon wedge.
Mouthfeel is well carbonated, but it's a relatively fine effervescence. There's also this slightly creamy character, like I mentioned yogurt above - it has a very subtle creaminess. It's nice. Finishes pretty dry. Overall body is very light and crisp, and this is really the epitome of drinkable.
Overall, I have had this many times, and this is the first time I've poured it into a pokal. I've always used a tulip for it, and it's substancially better in a tulip. It's so crisp and refreshing and utterly drinkable. Low abv, almost no bitterness, a nice lactic tartness makes this a perfect choice for a hot summer day, when you need something both refreshing, and deliciously tasty. Foundation knocked this one out of the park, and it's my favorite easily available kettle sour. Spot on.

L - 1/2 finger head atop a translucent yellow body.
S - white wine, honey, apple juice, candy, citrus.
T - musty white wine and apple juice mix, spiked with some citrus bitters. Quite tart, and noticeably sour. Presents as a wine cocktail, and it works well. Low bitterness, low sweetness, low booziness.
F - medium-light body with average carb.
O - well crafted, and brings pleasure with every sip.

Pours a hazed pale straw color with two fingers of white head. Eventually clears and leaves heavy lacing.
Sour and lightly-tart aroma with an almost powdery dry finish to it.
Quite tart tasting with some honey crisp apple juice sweetness and slight white wine character. A hint of floral hops. Once again, a dry finish.
Light to medium bodied with a nice burst of carbonation.
Not a ton of depth, but an enjoyable, very drinkable table beer nonetheless. Sort of like a Berliner Weisse / Pinot Grigio blend with a half teaspoon of sugar added. Perfect for outdoor dining.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can. Canned on 6/25/18
A - Poured into my duvel tulip a nice slightly slightly hazy golden straw hue with a thin one finger head that faded slowly to leave a nice creamy blanket and little wisps.
S - Aromas of Belgian esters, peppercorns, apple skin and fruit, little flashes of lemon tartness. Fair amount of bready dough and yeasts.
T - Taste is similar to the nose. Bright lemons, nice lacto tartness, good esters with just a little funk. Nice saison notes, peppercorns, apples. The only knock here is it is quite yeasty and doughy. If not for that it would be quite stellar.
M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, crisp, clean.
O - Overall this was a rather pleasant saison. I think I expected a bit more lacto funk and tartness, however, the base saison is quite pleasant. Overall an enjoyable saison.

If you interpret the saison style a bit widely to include the sour end of farmhouse fermentation I think this brew falls in line, as such I'll review it that way.
Poured from can into a chalice, color is straw, 1/8 inch head presents with off white color. Head doesn't hang around too long leaving a thin ring along the glass, no lacing.
Smell reminds me more an unblended lambic, with neutral malt, light sourness, feint hints of yeast funk.
Taste is quite tart for a saison, limited spicy yeast qualities, but the tart flavor is well done with a lacto like funk and light breadiness.
Mouthfeel is tart, lingering puckering quality on the tongue and cheeks.
Overall a tart farmhouse style ale, not much saison like quality but I don't think that is the intent.

3/9/18...pours very pale gold, some fizzy white foam that settles. Citrus nose, mostly lemon. Slight yeasty funk. Slightly high carbonation. Sour tart open. Sweetness keeps the sour in check. Filling from the carbonation.
