Extremely intensely hopped beer. Turbid appearence, huge hop aroma and hop bite on the finish. Full mouthfeel, slight alcohol taste. Lots of hoppy tropical hop and citrus hop flavors.

On tap at Vermont Tap House, Williston, VT.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a glossy burnt yellow almost orange color with a nice transparency about it. Some carbonation was seen rising at a moderate pace. Just a cap of a little white foamy head slid off fairly quick.
The aroma had a nice semi-sweet grassy to onion to citrus and piney hoppiness up front. Some bitterness, but mostly controlled with a cool handed crisp tropical sweetness ever so subtly in the background.
The flavor was moderately sweet bringing in the bitterness somewhat stiffly to pronounce that dankiness to slightly stroll right on into the aftertaste.
The mouthfeel was almost medium bodied, yes, for a DIPA, this one seemed to have a little bit of sessionability about it. Every so often I find some DIPA's that seem to do this and Venture is a well crafted DIPA that does this. Carbonation felt nice and controlled with the ABV being appropriate.
Overall, not really an old school DIPA, but not necessarily one of those new "juicy" or New England DIPA's, just an all around well crafted DIPA that should be on many fans' hit list to partake if you can find it.

This beer is almost perfect. Smells like pine and melon. Tastes like melon, pine, mango. Doesn't bitter afterwards. Better than epiphany. Hop forward maine ipa without the pucker.

On tap at York River Landing.
A bright gold color, modest white head, a little lace.
Aroma of tropical fruit and pine.
The taste followed the nose. Mango up front, pine later.
Light and crisp.

Tall can, stuff printed on the bottom, but its all smudged up...oh well they tried..

Pours all hazed and NE IPA looking..lasting and frothy off white cap, and leaving some larger bubble spots of lacing.

Pungent tropical fruit nose, with pineapple, mango and resiny grapefruit.

This is a tropical fruit forward, juice bomb, NE IPA heavy hitter...more pineapple, more mango, more grapefruit....resiny, zesty, boldy flavorful, complex and delicious. Go get some

Venture rates a slight, very slight, lower rating from me than one of my alltime favorite beers from Foundation, Epiphany! This beer is wonderful as well and I lucked out on a recent trip to SW Harbor, ME where my beer "guy" happened to have Venture. I didn't even know that this was being brewed by them as I've been away for close to a year. Keep surprising me Foundation. Great beer.

Poured from a 16oz can marked 01/06/17 into a pint glass. It has a clear, light golden color with ample effervescence. It forms a somewhat thin but dense head with weak lacing. The nose is hit with a moderate bouquet of pine and citrus and tropical fruit, but not overwhelming at all. The taste however is very forward and smacks the mouth right away with a solid carbonated, hoppy bitterness, meaning it has a weak malt backbone but I think it works well by showcasing their obvious mastery of hop alchemy. The aftertaste is a subtle and sticky, a pleasant yearning for another sip soon (and I willingly obliged). Overall this is a great example of an American DIPA (they call it a Maine IPA but the term is lost on me). You would do well to put this on your IPA want list.

From the 16 oz. can dated 03/09/17. Sampled on March 10, 2017. Pretty fresh!

It pours a slightly foggy and unfiltered yellow tone with busy carbonation building up to a lingering foamy head.

The aroma is a fruit-filled feast of orange, tangerine, nectarine, and pineapple with a more muted toasted bread sweetness.

Medium, pulpy body.

Like the aroma, there is a vibrant fruit character in the taste but it tends to be more like straight up fruit rather than hoppy-fruits with a malt base. Still, a moderate, lingering bitterness at the end. I enjoyed it.

Pours a lightly hazy golden straw color with a finger of pure white head. The head leaves a ton of lacing with some legs. There are quite a few particulates hanging around, giving this beer a "snowglobe" look.

The nose is a mosaic bomb, bringing notes of blueberries, mangoes, and dank. There's also some citrus and pine resin, followed up by some light, cracker malt.

The taste starts off resinous and bitter, followed by some berries and mangoes. Finishes with overripe melon.

The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Creamy and smooth, but slightly oily. Finishes dry with some lingering bitterness.

Overall, a pretty good DIPA that has a nice mix of East/West coast flavors and aromas. Reminds me a bit of Be Hoppy from Wormtown.
