A- Hazy and chalky pale yellow body to a tulip with a two finger frothy white head that has thick heft to it and good retention. The head eventually falls and a tiny ring drops only a few lace spots.

S- The guava is huge and the base sour ale is also really intense here and oddly enough between the fruity tropical guava and the strong ripe lactic it comes off like passionfruit. That combo of bright acid and guava is sublime.

T- The aroma was sublime but the flavor here is absolutely stellar for a fruited lower ABV sour brew. Again it is all about those small bugs and the fruit as the lactic acid and guava are bold, bright and absolutely full of flavor. Tropical fruit, tartness, wheat graininess and a touch of sweetness to round it out. Juicy.

MF- Light end body with a low-ish level of carbonation and a slickness. Frothy and creamy texture and it ends tart and sweet.

This beer seems to fly under the radar but honestly this is one of my favorites of 2018 and one of my favorite simple lactic sour plus a fruit I have ever had. I need a 30L of this in a kegerator for each summer.

Thanks to JLindros for hooking me up with a can. Canned on 6/29/18

A - Poured into my Duvel tulip a nice hazy ruby red grapefruit tinged gold with a very, very thin wispy head that fades to leave even thinner wisps. Nice color.

S - Aromas of rather nice guava paste aroma, tropical and bright, little musty. Some fainter wheat and tartness. Solid.

T - Taste is similar to the nose. Nice guava paste, really pops out, solid tropical as well. The wheat is quite nice, finish is lingering tartness as well as a little flemmy.

M - Mouthfeel is lightly carbonated, bit thin, finish is kind of flemmy.

O - Overall this was a solid guava beer, however, I wonder if it has lost some of its 'pop' over the past month. The finish is a bit unfortunate as well.

Canned 6/29
Chugging pour yields a decent foamy creamy 1 finger head fades semi quickly with some lacing, hazy honey orange blond color

Nose is guava city, like loads of fresh juicy guava, a bit of citrus, a touch of blond malt, otherwise just all big guava

Taste starts quite sour, a little sour lemony note, but again mostly tons of guava, juicy guava fresh fruit and guava juice, a tartness from it, with mild lactose creamy esp the dry sticky lactose finish, a little blond malt, hint of candy guava notes, touch citrus, some acidity, flemmy sour lacto funk and lactose finish, more guava and tart lemonade

Mouth is med bod, flemmy tart but a bit creamy, decent carb

Overall def loads of guava, the tart sour base beer is OK, not great, but thanks to loads of guava it's pretty good
