Had from a can from Danish Yellow in Daegu.
Looks pretty. Jet black with fluffy head that disappears quickly.
Smell is caramel and vanilla.
I will preface this by saying I’m a big fan of sweet stouts. This one didn’t do it for me. It was overly sweet. Usually there are some roasted or coffee-like characteristics that balance out the sweetness of dessert stouts, but this one was just cloyingly sweet. It didn’t come together. Just over the top sweetness with nothing to balance it out.
Mouthfeel- Less of a body than a lot of imperial stouts.
Overall: wouldn’t have it again. I have two more AF stouts waiting in my fridge, hoping for an improvement.
