pours out a hazed straw color with a nice bright white head. aromas pop really nicely on this, can smell it pleasantly from a few feet away while im pouring. on nose and palate are lemony and pithy citric notes, grapefruit, hint of orange, big meyer lemon, maybe a hint of some nanner in there, but nothing robust. some sharp herbaceous green notes on the finish.

On tap at the Blackback Pub. This was poured into a tulip. The appearance was a hazy yellow to burnt orange color rimmed with a finger’s worth of white foamy head that dissipated at a nice pace. Even stringy lacing ran here and there. The smell had the sweet bananas up front and then some bitter rind-like citrus flavors. Subtle dried grassy hops. The taste was basically the same but as it warms, more of the bitter rind-like qualities come out. Gets drier in the aftertaste with a quick dry finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body. Enough harsh bitterness rides in just a tad more than I would have thought for a witbier. Overall, for the most part, I like it for me and would be a great food beer, but after further analysis, its a bit different for a witbier.
