Watch out for this one. Deep golden in color with a wonderful complexity from the classic Trappist yeast strain. Slightly sweet and fruity, with notes of orange, banana, spice, and soft alcohols. This high gravity tripel is surprisingly easy drinking with a light body, and will sneak up on you if you’re not careful. Addictive too… Naughty beer.

16.9 fl oz bottle poured into an elongated tulip. Orange with slight brown highlights, not quite clear (semi-haze) and a half finger head that dissapates immediately. Aroma of Belgian yeast, banana, some bubble gum and maybe some pepper? Sweet taste.., candied sugar, some doughy malt, spice. It’s 96 outside. Carbonation on this is pretty low, just a little bit at the end to hold it together. Feel is medium. Easy drinking at 9%.

Appearance: golden yellow in color with a short 1/4" head that falls quickly.
Smell: belgian yeast and citrus tones are most dominant.
Taste: lightly grainy malt profile, lemon zest, a hint of grapefruit, and a slightly peppery Belgian yeast. Bitterness is moderate but alcohol is very noticeable here.
Mouthfeel: medium bodied beer. Crisp throughout with some dryness late.
Overall: a slow sipping beer. Alcohol levels are a bit too noticeable here.
