Taste: big hopped bite, dry finish. Floral hopped nose. Gold hue, clear, with a lacy head ans webbed lattice. Medium body. Bitter hops are closer to an Imperial IPA. 79 IBUs

Draft pint at Big Bricks. Lightly hazed orange, scalloped lacing around the edges, lasting foam. Looks nice.

Candied orange aroma, slightly resinous.
Tastes the same, candied orange slices, herbal resinous greens. Light to medium bodied, pretty easy drinking, finishes dry. Overall this is a solid IPA, better than the other Empirical beers i've had.

On-draught @ the brewpub. $5.50 per pint.

6.70% ABV.

A: Murky and unfiltered. Pulpy pale copper colour.

SM: Citrusy, hitting flavours of orange and onion. Reticent but enticing. Pleasant and inviting. Aromatic intensity is average.

T: Matches the aroma, tending a bit imbalanced with its overdone bitterness. It's fine... nothing wrong with it, nothing amazing about it.

Mf: Smooth, wet, coating, overcarbonated, slightly oily.

O: Drinkable enjoyable mediocrity. I'm not sure why locals are going crazy over it, but it's fair for what it is. I struggle to understand who would pick this over better priced brews from the likes of Lagunitas, Deschutes, or the like, but it's decent.

On tap at the brewery. Look is medium orange some haze. Smell is light citrus hops. Taste is pleasant bitter up front, more on the piney side. The bitter sticks throughout with a bit of malt balance but not a ton. Feel is solid with the bitter hanging around. Overall well above average for me and maybe even excellent

The infinity IPA is a solid IPA....falls right into that East Coast/Midwest IPA....more bitter than piny/citrusy. The beer pours a slightly hazy orange with nice foamy head that is leaving some lace. The scent has bitterness. The taste is bitter though the draw....but there is some malt presence to make the beer drinkable. The mouthfeel is medium in body with decent carbonation. Overall its good.

12oz bottle, I had this just a couple of blocks from the brewery at Ranalli's on Berwyn (great pizza by the way).
A - hazy amber-copper colored ale with a foamy ivory head
S - pine, grapefruit, caramel, bread crust
T - pleasant malt backbone with caramel malt, toasted grain, and bread crust gets overtaken quickly by a dominating spicy, piny, grapefruity hop presence with a but if orange rind in the background ; but overall the flavors meld together exceptionally well
M - medium-full body, ample carbonation, resinous hop, finishing dry and bitter with just enough malt to keep eveything in check
O - I will definitely buy this again. I wasn't sure what to expect, but looking at the brewer's website to verify what I was sure I was tasting: Centennial and Cascade hops. It also contains more of my favorites: Warrior, Citra, and Columbus. The malt bill contains Munich malt and Maris Otter - some favorites of mine as well. I see why I enjoyed this beer so much! I need more!

Poured a brilliant burnt orange, with a fluffy, white cap. Smell was very subdued. Light citrus and some sweet malt. Taste was dominated by the sweet malt with the piney, resinous hops trying to fight through. Citrusy hops make a small appearance, just like in the nose. Not bad, but either needed a little less malt or a little more hop to balance things out.

A lovely burnt orange color with a slight citrus scent. Nothing overpowering. Taste is pretty complex. There's a battle going on between some sweet maltiness and some rather dry hoppy bitterness. Starts with the malt but finishes with the bitter but a slight sweetness lingers.

This beer is brewed down the street from me. Another really strong Chicago IPA, though - for an IPA - a bit of a malt bomb.
