A great local place with friendly staff and people. Best on a Sunday night because even though a game is on people and service is still great. This is the ONLY PLACE I've been able to find Rogue's Dead N' Dead on draught in the burbs. Always a good selection and the food is good too.

Went to this place with the guys from work. Looks nice from the outside and looks good on the inside. The alley has a few bistro tables in it, would be quite nice to sit out there but it over 100° when we were there so no one was out there.

We sat at a table upstairs. The atmosphere upstairs is not as nice as down, but it does overlook the downstairs.

Waitress was good not great.

my Guiness was poured into a chilled pint glass, the horror!

Ribs for like 17 bucks were very good. Fries were well seasoned and very good.

Beer selection was pitiful, Guiness and Sam's boston were the only items that were not Macros

Will definitely go back for the food and hope they improve the beer selection.

Ambler is cute, going for the small town feel. Right on the main strip of Butler Pike, just a couple of running steps from the train station is KC’s. Looks almost like an Irish pub from the outside, with very high ceilings and a loft for extra dining upstairs. Exposed brick and exposed weathered beams -with a bunch of items set upon them, ya just have to go there and see this stuff. They recently took out the cute little fireplace nitch were there was a couchy seating area with a table, and changed things around a bit, looks nice. A lot of macro’s being represented, Yuengling always there, and of course Guinness. Not much going on beerwise at all. Not much tap or bottles, sometimes you can get Spaten. They need a good shaking and at least one good micro tap going on. A lot of macro and macro light drinkers can be seen there at all hours of the day, and they tend to do a good weekday lunch crowd when I have met friends there when I had halfdays at work. Burgers are always decent, and wings are good. I have not ventured past the burgers and apps, but they tend to have a bunch of specials going on. Make sure to check the chalkboard on the wall to see if there is something new with food that day, or a beer/drink special. Service has always been spotty, have never gotten a drink in under 15min, even at the bar with a $20 stretched out, and even when there is no real crowd. They do have an open mic night, and some local bands can be seen there- the acoustics are good in there, and at least the one band I have seen multiple times there draws a great crowd. The crowd runs mostly to the young 20's, but there are a few of the other ranges thrown in. Casual and relaxed, not a bad place to pop in for a beer after a local event, or to catch a band.

Ambler is not the Mecca of beerdom, let's face it. KC's Alley is the only shot in town her for half decent beer, and emphasis on the word "Half." The best beer on tap is local Yuengling Lager that is available anywhere, really.

Burgers and beers are adequate. Beers are $4.00 a pint. Not the cheapest deal in town, unless you hit a Happy Hour. Nobody here will go out of their way in the name of brewski.

This joint needs a couple good taps. Other than that, it fares a notch above a true local shot & a beer bar. Not a stop on the map of beerdom, by far.

Open mic nite is ok at best. No parking other than what the local street offers. Interior is ok with a psuedo-brick warehouse two-story motif. Oh, and yes, you could bring your mother here.
