Look - dark motor oil black. 1/4 of head dark brown head upon pouring into a snifter. Lacing holds on decently throughout drinking.

Smell - sticky sweet toffee and syrup with some roasted burnt coffee grounds.

Taste - thick strong coffee punch up front with mild maple and vanilla. Some cinnamon and anise are present. Light burnt caramel and tobacco.

Feel - thick and chewy. Creamy and sweet. Medium high boozyness.

2022 version. No head and no lacing. A bit sweet and a thicker mouthfeel as it warms, but very tasty and well balanced with the whiskey, malt and flavorings.

16.9oz bottle. No dating information found.
Black colored body. Quick fizzing away brown head, which leaves a moderate surface storm and thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma is thick, with dark roasted malt, chocolate, coffee, maple syrup, bourbon barrel with oak and vanilla.
Taste has lots of chocolate and bourbon barrel, with oak, vanilla, and bit of coffee. Infusing through all is the sweet maple syrup. Gets sweeter in the aftertaste with maple syrup, vanilla, and chocolate. Almost a chocolate graham cracker vibe at the end.
Thicker than medium mouth feel, with some stickiness. 14.5%ABV is well hidden, but complexity induces a sipper on this one. Supportive carbonation.
Overall, this is a sweet beer, but the melding of chocolate, coffee, and maple syrup works really well.

Pours like an imperial stout--everything you want from the style.

The nose is wonderful. Lots of cocoa on the nose, with some dark roast. The sip follows, with a touch of tartness on the finish. This is wonderful.

I can’t believe it’s 14%

Black in color with no light penetration. There’s just a faint amount of brown around a third of the rim. The aroma is of vanilla, maple syrup and a bit of coffee. I’m tasting maple syrup, coffee, vanilla, and dark malt. I picked this bottle up nearly a year ago so I bet some of the coffee has faded. This is Avery sweet stout as there’s a lot of maple syrup. The mouth is dry and sticky.

Poured at fridge temp. Pours a thick and creamy black with light brown head. Looks incredible. The nose is elegant. Coffee, fudge, vanilla, nuts, and big malts. Milky. The maple is there, but it's not as overpowering as some. That's probably a good thing. This is just a nicely balanced nose with multiple players.

The taste is fantastic. The coffee plays more of a dominant role here. Really nice. Maple hits, along with vanilla. A touch of coconut, chocolate, and some dark fruit. Blackberries come to mind. This is sweet overall, with zero bitterness. Not too sweet though. A bit of wood starts to come through with some time. Maybe a slight hint of roasted malt.

The mouthfeel is fantastic. Super creamy and viscous. Overall, a wonderful stout from Transient. I'm really glad I got to try this one!

Poured pitch black into brandy snifter and sported a medium brown head, maybe an inch after a hard pour. Looks beautiful in the glass.
The aroma was malty and sweet, which for me is amazing as I don’t smell as well as most.
The taste is flat out amazing if smooth stouts are your thing. Vanilla leads but quickly gives way to coffee and cocoa and malts, not necessarily in that order.
So tasty.
The feel was viscous to the point of almost syrup but not quite. Looking at the additives this is appropriate.
OA, I thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks @ovaltine!
