Too much cinnamon and not the good kind of cinnamon ever. Had very much the taste of swallowing a tablespoon of raw cinnamon. My brother claimed it got a lot better once it warmed to 55-60 but I couldn't even make it past that. Appearance, Feel and smell are all impressive but the flavor was just too much and very disappointing. And if anything, the cinnamon made the bitterness of the coffee even more pronounced.

Pours a viscous and deep black with a dark brown finger of foam.

Pungent cinnamon, vanilla, maple syrup, and strong coffee aroma as well.

All of the pieces of this brew come together well at initial sip, but it is not until the swallow the finish leans really heavy on the cinnamon addition.

Full-bodied, low-medium carbonation, sweet up front, slightly bitter/roasty finish.

Overall, certainly a brew to be enjoyed as it warms up and one to grab!

22oz bottle poured into a tulip

A- pours a deep black color with a two-finger creamy khaki head that has decent retention and settles into a ring around the edge, some lacing left behind

S- cinnamon dominates the aroma up front, followed by undertones of roasted coffee & espresso notes, vanilla, chocolate & a hint of maple that counters the coffee roast

T- taste follows the nose with massive cinnamon notes up front. Mid-palate brings out the charred malt & earthy/herbal coffee. The finish brings out some of the sweeter notes of vanilla cream, brown sugar, maple and milk chocolate. Lingers of cinnamon and a lactose-like chocolate

M- medium body and carbonation leads to a creamy mouthfeel that continues into a velvety, slightly warming finish

O- an outstanding stout, the only negative is that the cinnamon dominates the other adjuncts.

L: pours thick and black with a film of khaki head.
S: coffee, maple, cinnamon. Sweet lacto milk chocolate. The cinnamon is starting to dominate the nose as it warms up.
T: the cinnamon is the main flavor jumping out. There is a wave of coffee I there...but no maple. This is a beer where there is just too much going on and it's not well integrated.
F: medium thickness, sticky feel, but a lot of carbonation.

Bottle from a trade at some point. I've had Kentuckly and really dug it. Was looking forward to opening this. First impressions are big coffee with cinnamon. As I sip and it warms the cinnamon turns more to maple syrup but that coffee is still super in your face. I kinda get the vanilla as well and in the end this is super artificial over the top flavoring but it draws you in for more. Definitely balances out as it warms and opens and becomes sort of cinnamon french toast. Not bad, not great.
