Notes: Hops burst out of this glass with absolutely no bitterness. Bright fruit flavor of passion fruit and citrus. We will make more. We must make more...

Kind of disappointed with this one. It has a nice look, but not the turbidness of a self-identified New England ipa. Nose is a little muddled - if get fruit salad rather than notes of nuanced hops. Taste suffers from a lack of nuance or balancing hop bitterness or drying yeast. Just kind of meh to me. Maybe even a touch of butter in there?

Loved the other beer I grabbed from transient, maybe this one was an older can.

M- Smooth, medium body, a little creamy.

O- A great NEIPA, easy to drink, nose is amazing.

Appearance: Pours a completely hazy, pale orange color with a moderate to strong, lingering and lacy white head.
Aroma: Huge aromas of pineapple, flowers, and pine. Not much citrus. Maybe some pithy stonefruit, lemon, or white grape. Sort of reminds me of an Engilsh IPA with the aroma.
Flavor: The fruit flavors are more attenuated on the tongue. Still pineapple with some peach. White grape underneath. Maybe some passionfruit. Tons of milk and cream. More cream than I've ever experienced. It's ripe pineapple, peach, and passionfruit into a milkshake. Slightly sweet. No bitterness.
Feel: Smooth and creamy. Like a milkshake.

Overall: This could be a model NEIPA. Not sure if I agree with the name as it's not juicy by any means. It could use a rename. It has pineapple and stonefruit. No citrus which I actually prefer.. Tons of milkshake creaminess and no bitterness as expected. It has fantastic flavors and if I had to pick a NEIPA off the shelf this might be my go-to for the style.

Pours an opaque and murky orange with a finger of white foam that catches the light beautifully. Head retention is low. Aroma is dripping with tropical fruit notes - tangerine, papaya, mango, guava, and honey dew. Bitterness be gone, this one is all sugary citrus - although it doesn't come off too sweet. Flavor profile is tangerine, mango, honeydew, lemon zest, orange zest, papaya, and mandarin orange. It's a tropical fruit bouquet that comes off lightly sweet, refraining from blasting the tongue into slivers by sugar. There is a little yeast zestiness just beyond the hops, but overall - it's tropical fruit. Mouth feel features a lightly pulpy, graininess with a softening texture towards the back that 'stills' out on the tongue. It has a medium-thick consistency which ups the experience leave a touch. Overall, tropical fruits with little else make it abundantly clear that the juice is loose in this one.

Served in a 15.5oz Speigalau tulip from a 16oz can.

Guess I was looking for a little more after reading all the reviews. Colors like dirty gold with some citrus on the nose. Tastes of Citrus and over-ripe fruit. Medium body with a slightly dry finish and it seems like the yeast is trying to assert itself on the finish as well. Taste is pretty light light for 8% ABV.
Will probably be okay with drinking the remaining cans but in the future I think I will stick closer to home.

For a NE IPA, this is really solid. I’ve not liked a lot of the recent NE and/or milkshake IPAs, but this has enough bitterness to be good. Great smell.

Canned 12/21/16; drank 12/26/16 @ the Yarchives.

Opaque dull orange appearance.

A violent pour yielded a huge, noisy off-white head; thick, frothy lace.

Mango, honey & melon notes in the nose.

Medium thick, sticky mouthfeel.

Honey & mild peanut butter flavors up front; grapefruit & mild pine notes on the finish. No booze heat.

An odd melange; this skirts being cloying or bitter, settling into a workable, if uninspiring, compromise.

16 oz can into IPA glass. No date.
Look is nice hazy golden orange. Smell is dank tropical fruit. Taste is muted fruit and follows the nose. Feel is medium and creamy. Overall not a juice bomb of a NE IPA. Pleasant enough beer but don't now if I would seek it out.

Modest head production and decent retention. Body is a pulpy dark orange, completely opaque.

Very juicy nose, accompanied by restrained notes of both bright and dank herbs and pepper. Mango, papaya, passion fruit, tangerine, and grapefruit.

Flavor follows, bringing waves and waves of juicy hop tones. Both the mild dankness (more prominent on the second half) and the big sweet malt bill just add to the juiciness. Melon, mango, tangerine; it's a smooth, tropical fruit-forward brew, a juicy smoothie of a beer.

Smooth and creamy on the palate, while still retaining liveliness; one of the smoothest NE-IPAs I've had from outside of NE. Long hoppy finish will have you smacking your gums for days (OK, maybe minutes, but it feels like days). I'm curious if they achieved this with adjuncts (e.g. oats, lactose) as so many brewers do, or if they managed without. Regardless, the finished product

No canning date (!) but this stuff just got delivered and I can assume is fresh. Lots of peach, zesty orange, mango, and papaya on the nose. Flavors largely follow suit, with a lot of yellow peach, sweet floral, and hints of grassy herbaceousness. Soft , low bitterness mouthfeel. Overall pretty tasty but lacks a certain punchiness or distinctive character

One of the top tier Michigan NEIPAs, the fresh stuff coming out now is as good as it gets. Beautiful golden orange, hazy, smells of piney resinous hops, big orange, lemon, pineapple citrus, this strikes a really fantastic balance between juice and hops - this still tastes like an IPA, not OJ. Great mouthfeel, nice finish, this is really top notch.

1 pint can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass

This beer pours a dull orange color and is hazy as my college memories. It is topped with a couple inches of beige head that leaves some decent lacing.

The smell is medicinal and dank.

The taste is juicy with a slight medicinal taste.

Full bodied with a smooth, creamy mouthfeel

This tasted nothing like the draft version. I fear that this is old and there was a mountain of this stuff at the taproom. Plus I was leery of the fact that it was all sitting at room temperature by the case. I may only ask for the freshest to purchase on my next visit. That being said it is still not terrible. It is just a letdown compared to the glass I had at the taproom last Sunday.

Pours opaque golden yellow, a bit on the darker side. Finger of white head.
Nose is super intense- pineapple, I'm terrible with identifying the funkier tropical fruits but guava and passionfruit come to mind.
Taste is very juicy- lime, pineapple, vanilla, tangerine. Slight minty and herbal notes on the finish.
Mouthfeel is pretty thick, but it works.
Overall, very tasty. Wouldn't hesitate to drink this on the regular if it were available around me.

Poured from a tallboy can into a Dogfish Head tulip

L: Cloudy/hazed dark golden pour with thick fluffy white head. Outstanding lacing.

S: Citrus and tropical fruits... big NEIPA aroma.

T/F: Follows the nose. Light biscuity grains with a big grapefruit and tropical fruit hoppy juice bomb. Pineapple, tangerine, and mango. Pepper and spice mixed in but subtle. Sticky/oily on the tongue... modest bitterness. ABV well hidden.

O: An elite New England IPA. Outstanding and delicious.

Pours a cloudy mostly opaque orange color. Thin one thick finger off-white head dissipates quickly leaving a thin ring of foam along the outside of the beer. Aroma is somewhat fruity -citrus, orange, honey and pine, with some light grassy notes. Taste follows the nose with light notes of orange, tangerine, and bright lemongrass notes with a touch of peppery spice and some grassy bitterness on the back end. There is a touch of orange blossom honey in here that peeps through periodically with a light sweetness to the beer throughout. Feel is light and drinkable with some vibrant carbonation. Smooth and silk mouthfeel. Overall its a nice IPA. I've had this several times and each times its slightly different ranging from an outstanding - must try IPA to muddled disaster. Consistency by batch would be a big improvement for this beer. But when its on, its a great beer.

16 oz can no date poured into tower glass.

Deep hazy gold with a really lush creamy head of 2 fingers leaving lots of lace behind.

Gorgeous aromas of oranges, tangerines, vanilla, honey malt, and pine.

Flavor brings a very soft profile, with orange pith, washed out vanilla frosting, mandarin, grapefruit, faint pine, slight dead grass. It sort of comes up empty, not really a whole lot of hop action - at least not at first. The hop resins stick and build on the palate and by the 5th or 6th sip, the lingering resins synergize into a more palatable hoppy beer.

Feel is a little empty as well, coming off way too soft with no supporting juiciness/acidity to support it, just kind of clouding away. Again though, as the beer is consumed it builds a bit more. Acidity builds on the tongue and palate.

Overall a little underwhelming but still a fair beer. Still no match for their Cromulent though!

The beer is 45 degrees and served in a tulip glass. The pour on the beer produced a one finger white head. The head is frothy and creamy that has fair retention. The head dissipated somewhat fast leaving only a ring around the beer. The color of the beer is SRM 9 a pale amber color with a medium orange tint. The clarity of the beer is somewhat hazy with carbonation bubble visible. The appearance of the beer is overall decent the head had a poor showing.

The initial aroma in the beer is juicy oranges and herbal. The secondary aromas I get are grapefruit, floral, a spiciness, a honeylike sweetness, toasted malt, and biscuit. Lastly, I get a touch of tropical, and grass.

The initial flavor in the beer is cardboard, juicy aromas, herbal, phenols, and a spiciness. Additional flavors I get are grapefruit, biscuit, honeylike sweetness, toasted malt, grass. The finish flavors I get are floral, tropical, and a hay flavor.

The mouthfeel of the beer is astringent and carbonated.

The body of the beer is medium, medium-plus carbonation, and a full finish.

The beer has stale a little from time but, I will not deduct that from the score. The beer is a New England IPA and is reasonably juicy. The beer does have a spicy phenolic tone. The beer has lost its hop punch nonetheless it is really good.

Appearance - Pours murky deep orange color with nice thick white head. Lots of spotty lacing.

Aroma - Lots of sweet tropical fruit mango, pineapple, nice hoppy aroma.Picking up some lemon and orange as well.

Taste - taste follows the nose close but leaning a little more to the bitter side. Light mango and orange followed by some citrus peel and grapefruit. The alcohol peeks out just a bit on the finish.

Feel - medium bodied nice carbonation

Overall - Really nice DIPA other than a little bit in the taste the alcohol is well hidden.

The look was very orange and hazy with a fluffy head. The smell was citrusy with the oranges leading the way. The taste was juicy and citrusy without a lot of bitterness. Nice dry finish with medium carbonation. Overall this is a really good beer. I enjoyed although the price point is pretty high.

Pulpy colloidal light orange of the current persuasion. Decent finger of soft sticky fluffy white head. Decent retention, good lacing. What looks like actual pulp interspersed. As I drink, what looked like pulp sure is something... it accumulates in the bottom of the glass and looks almost fiberous like minced straw/hay or like dried herbs/tea.

Boozy tropical fruits: guava and overripe pineapple. More muted than I'd anticipated, but not faint, more just like it's pushing through a dense something or other to get there.

Tastes like carbonated POG. Same tropical fruits as the nose, in an overripe mushy/pulpy manner. Like a smoothie/pulp-thick juice carton. Dense. Maybe a faint hint of hoppy bitterness towards the end, but it feels more like a photo that has had that portion roughly cut out and there's still a little bit of the edge left. *shrug* As it warms the supportive malts peek in with some grainy hints.

Thick body is the strength of this one. Bright and hefty carbonation. Finish lingers like a shapeshifter that is trying so hard to not be what it is by nature: in this case hop bitterness is the form the shifter is desperately trying to shed (and mostly succeeding, but there's always a little disconcerting stretch around the edges that betrays the facade). Doesn't necessarily TASTE hot, but it kind of feels like it. Dry ultimate finish.

Much gratitude to @FlintB for sending this along amidst the rest of the incredible collection in his NBS BIF#007 box(es).
