Had on tap. The structure of this beer is amazing, with a thick, chewy yet smooth and syrupy mouthfeel. The smell is chock full of fudge, vanilla, rye, bourbon, maple and smoke. The taste is very hot booze and rye wise. The aftertaste with the combination of sweeter elements of vanilla, fudge and maple is amazing with the rye, but the smokey rye and booze up front needs time to chill in order to fulfill the potential here

Had a 5 oz pour at Green Lady.
L: Pours pitch black with a very dark coffee-colored head.
S: Heavy barrel, can tell it's got some rye flavoring with maple sweetness secondarily.
T: Rye spice dominates when it was still a bit cold, but the flavorings came through nicely later. Didn't get a ton of coffee.
F: Thick but not chewy. Little bit thinner than regular Buckley.
O: A very enjoyable big rye BA stout.

This beer is the truth. Absolutely massive, thick layers of flavor abound. The aftertaste has its own aftertaste. This would be my electric chair beer. There's not much more to say, really.

Appearance - The beer was served on tap, and produced a slick black color with a tan head.

Smell - The nose and this one is amazing. Maple, chocolate, and booze all come together.

Taste - My first impressions were maple and cocoa powder. The beer was not as sweet as the noise would indicate. The overall profile is muted by hot booze, burning like cheap vodka.

Mouthfeel - The bass beer lens itself to smoothness.

Overall - I had this on tap. If it were bottled I would cellar it to let it mellow.
