No canning date, so lazy... Lazy like a fox!
Again over carbonated, tons of fizzy head, a little lacing, hazy but streaming bubbles, orange color
Nose citrus, grapefruit, again fairly light too, little doughy grainy malt, faint tropical I think, tangerine thing
Taste mild sweet doughy malt, fair hops citrus, tangerine, little grapefruit and papaya guava thing, lemony, generic fruity, little sticky finish
Mouth is med bod, lots of fizzy carb
Overall meh

16 ounce sticker can, no date seen, poured into tulip.
Pours a hazy pale golden, hints of rose, with a fingers worth of fluffy white head. Tremendous lacing as I drink it down. Soft grapefruit, oj, pineapple and a bit of pine on the nose.
Grapefruit, pine, hay, floral notes, soft banana, citrus peel, pepper and dank finish. Pretty complex I’ve found. Soft mouthfeel is slightly thin and a lower carbonated body. Still fairly drinkable.
Unique hazy ipa, not the typical juicy ipa you find with the hazies but definitely worth a try.

Single 16 oz. can picked up in the bottle shop around the corner from Trillium Fort Point in Boston, & drinking this instead because its cold. First taste of this brewery, as far as I recall.
The beer looks like the outside of a paper hotel cup because that’s what it’s (temporarily) housed in. I can’t see the bottom, so the ‘hazy’ part seems accurate. The nose is oranges & grapefruit, both sharp & overripe.
Hazy Like a Fox is strangely compelling. Less bitter than a classic IPA & without the fruit basket of the typical NE IPA, it coasts along serenely in between. The fruitiness mirrors the nose, orange zest & grapefruit, but it’s sweeter, the bitterness muted. Floral hops round out the simplicity. Full & a touch heavy. Its strength is the ease with which it flows from cup to mouth to stomach & back out again.
Solid IPA, but nothing out of the ordinary.

1 Pint can
Served in an oversized, stemless, wine glass
This beer pours a hazy, dull orange color topped with a couple inches of tan head that leaves some nice lacing.
I get light tropical fruit notes.
Much like the smell I get light tropical fruit and not much else.
Medium bodied with creamy mouthfeel
There is just not a lot going on here compared to other beer in this style. It is good but boring in an everexpanding style of beer.

A very hazy light orange color, sort of a cross between grapefruit juice and orange juice, propping up a sudsy off-white head. The nose is all dank citrus notes, notably grapefruit and tropical passion fruit.
The tropical ones are front and center on the taste, and there’s something like guava to reel this in just a bit, which actually works very well. This is another outstanding beer by a brewery that still manages to fly under the radar.

L - massive yellowish head atop a murky orange body.
S - grapefruit, pine, dank, candy. Smells very traditional.
T - definitely doesn’t taste traditional. Grapefruit candy, tropical fruits, blue cheese, orange slices. Only a hint of dank on the taste. Low bitterness. Low sweetness. No booziness.
F - medium body with average carb.
O - quite tasty. My first Transient brew!

Soapy head that gets thicker as you go down the glass. Very nice head. Not sticky at all, this beer is well manufactured and has the taste of a week-old IPA (but no canning date?). It's clearly unfiltered, but clean and not sticky like some NEIPAs. This is a really strong offering from Michigan. I am drinking this in Cambridge, MA, and I don't regret buying it over the local hazies. Saw a review about this tasting like weinstephaner...not true. Definitely a pure pale ale. Well done considering it tastes so fresh and isn't sweet or off-putting in any way for a beer brewed so far away. Notable!
Not overly aromatic, but a nice break from some of the grassballs I've been drinking where everyone is just going for as unfiltered as possible and stanky (aka commercial-grade mosaic hops which have flooded the market recently). This is really easy drinking.

A - Pours a murky golden orange with a two finger foamy white head. Tons of soapy lacing.
S - Aroma is mango, tangerine and papaya.
T - The taste is mango, passionfruit, tangerine, papaya and floral hops.
M - Medium body with medium carbonation. Creamy mouthfeel with a soft dry finish.
O - Another solid ipa from Transient. The flavor is bright and juicy with just enough hop bite.

16 oz can poured into snifter. No date.
Creamy soapy white head of 3 fingers, big bright gold body, full o' juice.
Wonderful aromas of pine, soft malts, sarsaparilla/vanilla, orange candy, pineapple, melon, and OJ. Creamy pillowy yeast as well.
Flavor brings vanilla in a big way, and reminds me a lot of Weihenstephaner's Hefeweizen. Quite a bit of wet paper, clove and banana, peaches, blueberries, white pepper, and slight hop resins and pine.
Feel is almost like a whisper - here and gone, almost non existent, very watery, building up a pillowy feel very quickly and then darts off. Slight resins on the finish.
Overall the first taste was really great, but the more I drink it the more I'm starting to dislike it. The flavor is kind of fleeting, much like a 6 month old Hefeweizen.

Hazy orange with more than three fingers of airy, yellow-tinted head. Spotty, soapy lacing.
Orange, root beer hard candy, tropical flowers, melon, white pepper and green pepper in the nose.
Light, earthy flavors with a yuzu-like citrus quality, a hint of honey, a little pine, a little dankness and a peppery finish.
Medium bodied with a strong prickliness in the feel.
Earthy citrus and hard candy qualities make this a really unique one. Not one I’m likely to come back to, but certainly worth a try.
