I’ve been enjoying Transient’s beers for a while now. Their taproom is in a small town located about halfwayish between Chicago and Kalamazoo, nestled along a series of other boutique shops, breweries, and places of interest. Inside you’ll find a pretty straightforward selection of cans to go, along with beers on tap and, um, seltzers, if that’s more your thing.

Decent parking adjacent to the brewery. Indoor and outdoor seating avalable. Only stopped in to pick up some cans. Good selection of cans and bottles available. I 'll have to plan to visit the grandkids in Chicago when they are doing a special release. So far that hasn't worked out.

Most people I talk to about beer seriously say that this is the best brewery in Southwest Michigan, and I would definitely concur.
A cozy, spartan taproom with a ~60 person capacity, and a tiny patio. No bar, but plenty of of tables and barrels to hold your beer. Theres no kitchen either, but as of writing this review, you are free to bring your own (and your dog, if you'd like).
The beer quality is phenomenal, far and away the best beer from any microbrewery I've had, and easily beating out a majority of big breweries.
They specialize in sours, New England IPAs, and they produce killer stouts when they make them. They usually have at least 10 beers on tap, at least 1-2 ipas, usually one "hefty" 10%+ beer, a pilsner and a couple brett beers or wild ales. Pint Cans to go are stacked on pallets near the entrance, and bottles of specialties (mostly some sort of wild ales or sours, but some stouts appear) are located in between the pallets on the wall.
Service is kind and generous with tastings, however there are no flights here.
Highly recommended to anyone passing through the county.

Loved the little taproom in the downtown area of this tiny Indiana town.
The brews are delicious!
The service was welcoming and friendly.
The selection is a little lax, but the brews make up for it.

Smaller place, but the vibe is laid back and cool and the selection is PHENOMENAL. Tap list included the obligatory stuff (fresh Juice, etc), but the carryout selection was staggering - Juice, 3 or 4 other can selections, 3 imperial stout bombers, and a truckload of sours.
Absolutely incredible.

By far best brewer around this area and all of Midwest, possibly all of America, can't say for sure because I haven't been lucky enough to try them all. But I know I have had many many different beers being in the industry over the last 10 years and no one has stood out in my mind like Transient Artisnial Ales. Everything I have ever tried from then is beyond amazing.

Transient is a fun little tap room. Very basic, just a handful of tables inside and a few outside. Beer to go and trinkets on one wall. Get in line, pick your OUTSTANDING beer, then go and enjoy it. Nothing fancy. Then buy as much beer as they will allow and take home to your friends. Nice place, great beer.

A true work of art. Simple place that makes work class beers. Minimal design and not chessy at all. Feels like an authentic small Belgium/ Walloon brewery, MY favorite in State.

Hip, white painted brick, rustic wide open room with a brewing facility somewhere in the back. 10 taps or so, specializing in all that's popular right now. Barrel-aged stouts, fruits, and sours, cloudy pales and IPAs. Bottles to go available, and periodic can releases. Nice spot to stop, especially with Tapistry right across the street.

This brewery has been open for about a year, and I have heard many good things about the sour beers that are brewed here as well as more recently-heard hype about their IPAs, so a visit was put onto the schedule. The brewery is in a nondescript building along the main downtown area of this small community. (Across the street from Tapistry Brewing.) The small interior area has the basic needs of a taproom, but not much else. There is seating for about 50 people, plus the front wall has an overhead door where I suspect more seats can be set up on the sidewalk.
There are only 8 taps here but they had a nice spread of styles to include an IPA, a DIPA, a sour saison, a BA Biere de Garde farmhouse ale, a mead, a gose, a sour ale with grapes, and a BBA imperial stout. Sampler flights are not available here, so we chose small pours (5-6 oz.) of 4 beers so that we could try a viable sampling of the available offerings from which to rate the overall list. We rated these four beers at a B grade, and the notable one was the Bad Hombre Vanilla Imperial Cream Stout, but the others were close behind.
No food is available here, and I did not ask if they are food-friendly. There were 12 different beers available to-go that are in 22-oz. bottles. Also to go is a small (22 oz.) swing-top bottle that was filled from the tap. If this place was not so far from home, I'd be here often.

Let's just go ahead and call the space Spartan - but I actually don't care if they're serving the beer out of a Chuck Wagon, beer is fantastic, small but tight tap list and service for a very large muling order was spectacular.

This is a relocation as they brewed beers at One trick pony in Lansing, IL. Small warehouse garage feel, minimal, and bit young millennials vibe. Not so welcoming staff. We went to Tapistry Brewing across the street soon after where they seem to be pro customer. I will have to visit again here to see if i can talk to brewer.
