stopped in the brewery on my way home from a day at the vineyards with the family and took a quick 1 ounce sample of all 4 offerings on tap before getting growler fills of each. growler filled a few hours ago. enjoyed from a T+B wine glass.

a - brew pours a nice soft brown but settles in the glass almost black. held to the light i can see some brown highlights but mostly dense. beer poured with a thin grey bubbly head that mostly dissolved leaving some streaky lacing.

s - nose highlights sweet brown sugar with hints of lacto. not sure if i am picking up the honey or if the suggestion of it being in there is enough to make me think i smell it. caramelized malt. little bit of nuttiness on the finish.

t - taste is a nice caramel malt brown ale with some lacto and honey to liven up the party. very tasty brew indeed. the honey flavors really round out the finish and the lacto is more of a seasoning than a featured player so everything sits in a nice balance and it works.

m - said it before and i'll say it again...really dig the mouthfeel and body on everything i tried from moustache. nice full body with an easy feel to make them refreshing and easy drinking. this one is fairly cooling in my mouth

o - overall, i'm a fan. i love a good brown ale and this is a good brown ale. if you are local and you happen to see this (or any other moustache offerings) pop up at a bar or a growler station, do yourself a favor and take a try. very pleased with these initial offerings...looking forward to more from this brewery.

A: The beer is hazy dark brown in color. It poured with a half finger high beige head that died down, leaving wispy lacing on the surface, a collar around the edge of the glass, and some lacing down the sides.
S: Light to moderate aromas of nutty malts are present in the nose along with slight hints of lactose.
T: The taste generally follows the smell, except that notes of honey and floral hops are noticeable towards the back end of the finish. A light amount of bitterness is noticeable. Some roasted malts are also perceptible.
M: It feels medium-bodied and rather smooth on the palate with a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This beer is interesting in that it tastes like a hybrid between a brown ale and a milk stout. I found it to be quite flavorful and interesting compared to other beers in the style.

Pours a very slightly cloudy medium brown with a large off-white head that left blotches of lacing. Smells of sweet malts. Tastes of malts, a slight nuttiness, lactose, caramel and some floral notes on the finish. Medium bodied and carbonation, smooth mouth feel, crisp. A very easy drinking beer.

A burgundy amber pour with a white frothy head. Slight malts on the nose. A very malty start upfront with a hit of sweetness and lactose on the finish. Pretty lean drinking with good flavor tones of caramel, toffee, bread, and honey. The mouth feel is on the lighter side but it holds up well. The lactose seems to round out all the malt and add a creamy feel to it all.

Overall, decent stuff.
