This particular batch weighs in @ 8%ABV. Brewed with Mosaic, Simcoe and Bravo hops, then conditioned on pineapple.
I smell pineapple the moment I open the can. Pineapple and vomit. It's not a great smelling beer. Nor is it great tasting. This is one of those hazies that just kind of tastes like bad decisions and bile to me. The pineapple accents are fine enough, but kind of fall off a cliff in short order. Weak body. Some mild, lingering bitterness. This also suffers from a lower grade carbonation. More would have helped this across the board, I think. Still, though, a polished turd is still a turd. And who wants a turd? Not me, my man; not me.

-Canned 06.12.17. Consumed 11.22.17 in spiegelau ipa glass. Cool retro can design, a pac-hop chasing a pineapple ghost.
A: Light hazy orange shows a soft and gentle rise of effervesce. The head builds nicely into a spongey texture of 2 fingers with a milky-beige coloring. Head retention is strong leaving a thick and lustrious coating behind.
S: Sweet pineapple with some grapefruit juice first appears on the nose. Some orange juice and a light mix of citrus and pine oils. Light toasted grains with a decent level has some juicy, sweet and wet signs of tropical nature that showed very little wear and tear of strength even five months after canning.
T: Tart citrus and dry pineapple shows a healthy strength upon the first sip. Flowery edge of hops are prickly and bitter with citrus. The dry tropical really shines here against the alcohol and dry toasted grain and malt. Dry orange peel, tart tropical grapefruit concludes.
M: Lighter side of medium viscosity, light carbonation factor. Some resinous hop oils and flowery bite tease the tongue.
O: Juicy, wet and tropical nose, strong dry tropical flavor with a bitter and flowery edge. Toasted malt and specialty grains is lightly dry with a nice knock-out of citrus and pine hops. Very good in respect to aroma and flavor wise, very good drink-ability and flavor with tart tropical notes that is worthy a try.

Golden yellow in color with a light haze. Poured with a moderate, soapy white foam with good retention. Medium malt aroma with caramel malt notes. Medium light fruit aromas with hints of over-ripe orange. Medium bodied with soft, medium light carbonation. A smooth , creamy feel through the middle definitive, biting boozy warmth toward the finish. Medium fruity hip flavors followed by a strong, medium malt backbone. Medium, spicy hop bitterness through the middle followed by prickly booziness and fruity hops to the end. Finished with a pleasant sweetness and booziness and light hop bitterness. Hop character was generally light. More of a NE style than a west coast style I guess. Booziness is pleasant and a bit sneaky making this dangerously drinkable. More malt forward than most DIPAs but pretty good nonetheless.

Pours deep orange with frothy off white head.
Nose is orange and cracker maltiness.
Taste follows. Orange tanginess, solid malt background. Pineapple touch is sufficient and not overbearing. Some sweet cream thrown in
Feel is creamy with a touch of bite back of the palate. Little bitterness and minimal amount lingers.
I really like this, even with 4 months on it. Pretty hefty for a summer brew but it does carry enough citrus and bite to help offset. Hope they continue with this one. Says proceeds benefit Alzheimers Association and that hits home with me as that disease is wreaking havoc with my Dad.
