this is really solid, as are pretty much all the beers i have ever had from these guys. not sure how i have missed this ipa until now. its got a unique hop complexion, a mix of bitter bite and citrusy freshness, substantial but clean, slightly nuanced on the grain side too, and fermented down beautifully dry at the end, somewhat distinct from the crowd, which is harder and harder to do these days with an ipa. something almost crystalline or candied on the hop side right up front, like citra to me, but maybe more potent and with an earlier start. behind that i get some sweet and bitter orange both, a dash of mango, and then some pithy bitterness, well dosed all around, nothing too aggressive, but the beer is robust overall. nice medium body to it, some biscuit notes to the malt keeping it balanced without much sugar, and high carbonation pushing the whole thing along, making it almost refreshing for what it is. this is more modern than a lot of other beer ive had from these guys has been, but it suits them. an excellent and recognizable ipa here, great hop profile.

I won a 6pck of this beer for my Fantasy football league from OPD. It poured a clear golden with white head that is leaving a nice lace. The scent had faint dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with fruit presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body with good carbonation. Overall its a good beer.

Canned Date: 04/16/19. Purchased a warm 6 pack on 06/09/19 and chilled immediately on ice. Drank on 06/09/19

Got this warm at a gas station display near Columbia, MO and it probably sat there warm for over a month so I might try this again if I found it chilled and fresher.

Decent taste, average aroma and weak body. This beer may have been mistreated at the end seller.

My favorite beer is Yeti an imperial stout which is my favorite style. This Snapper IPA is the Yeti of the IPA'S! Great tasty thickish velvety smooth Indian Pale Ale! This is what makes me love an IPA, this one is done right, most IPA'S are not. This beer should be praised, it is an IPA brewed perfection!

Gold in color with an inch of densely packed off white head that dissipates to a fingernail after a few minutes. Moderate lacing. I'm getting some nice citrus and light malt in the nose. The flavor is initially citrus and then finishes with a strong pine hop and malt flourish. The mouth is fairly dry and faintly chalk like and sticky.

Canned 11/01, so not the freshest, but it was refrigerated, and isn't that old.

Look: Snapper pours a hay color, chill haze creating a slight opaqueness, and a slight white head. The head dissipates after a minute or two.

Smell: The first scent I gather was a malty presence, grapefruit, and almost a honey.

Taste: The taste is certainly better than the nose, but not exactly hop dominated. Candied oranges, almost like a smarty candy, hit, as well as a presence from the malts, very bread like. The taste is nice, but not as assertive as I prefer

Feel: Medium bodied, seemingly little carbonation, and little bitterness. Nice.

Overall: This is a decent offering, but nothing I'd personally seek. I believe everything is worth trying once, so if you see it, grab it, and maybe you'll come to a different conclusion. The taste is pretty nice, but doesn't save the overall lack of what I want in the style.

Pours a frosty orange color with two fingers of off-white head. Head is big and bubbly, with good retention and lacing. Aroma is light and fruity. Slight pine and resin hop twinge to it. Flavor profile is certainly hop forward, but not in a mouth bashing way. Fruity, citrus, and orange hop notes sweep across the tongue first, with a slight resin hop quality giving the beer a slightly longer finish. Mouth feel is bubbly, but otherwise fairly thick. It's right on the cusp of being a little too thick for enjoying on a hot day, and yet it's just thick enough to be enjoyable on a cold day. Well rounded feel here. Overall, it's a solid representation of the IPA style. It's not a tongue executing beer, but rather something that can be enjoyed and savored, or shotgunned before a college football game (I see you, Columbia, MO).

Served in a 12oz snifter.

From a twelve ounce can, this brew is a yellow liquid with a nice head. The aroma is mildly spicy, with underlying malt. The taste is balanced, but drier than expected. The finish is bitter, with some underlying malt. Malt is notable in the profile, but not exceptional. Medium body. Pleasant beer.

Pretty good IPA, better than expected. Not a great nose but the taste makes up for it. Mostly floral hop flavors but still balanced enough. Very similar to Heavy Lifting IPA from Boulevard, which to me is basically a less polished version of Two Hearted by Bell's.

Served on tap at Tucker's Shuckers in Lake Ozark. Appears a golden amber color with wonderful hop aromas of pine and citrus. The hops hit very strongly in the taste with the same typical American c-hop flavors up front and a nice balance of malt to back it up. This is a good American IPA that leans towards the East-Coast IPA style with a balance of malt and bitterness but great hop flavor. This is not huge IBU but has great hop flavors.

Look: Hazy dark gold, a couple fingers of head that leave a bit of lacing and settle to a film with some bubbles.
Smell: Dank and piney
Taste: Dank, zesty, piney, spicy, somewhat fruity, lingering moderately bitter finish
Feel: Full bodied, pretty good carbonation

Overall: A fairly competent IPA dominated by dank hops. Balance is pretty good - malt has enough presence to give the brew some backbone but not enough to induce a syrupy texture. Ultimately I'm more interested in fruity-type hops rather than the dank variety so this brew is of limited interest to me.

First had poured from 12-oz. can, gift from a friend, into tulip. First beer I've had from Logboat, this is an easy-drinking but serious IPA. I wish my buddy had brought me more.

Purchased a 6 pack out of Columbia, MO.

Appearance: bright hay in color with minimal clarity. An inch head formed while pouring which dissipated quickly. Lacings around the class.

Smell: smell a ton of intense tangerines and some citrus. Very fruity and inviting.

Taste: a different play than the aromas. A hop bomb with a nice malt backbone. Starts bitter with earthiness and resin. There is a touch of tropical fruit and pear near the finish. It becomes sweet thoughout but not cloying.

Mouthfeel: this is refreshing, medium-bodied but not thick/syrupy like other big IPAs (this one is 7.5%).

Overall: a solid IPA. I reqally enjoyed this and recommend this to anyone who visits Columbia.

On tap in Columbia, MO at Logboat. Pours a hazy, bright gold. Smells of american hops. Light malt backbone. This is the kind of American IPA I like. They did a pretty good job with this one.

Pours a deep gold color with good clarity. Frothy cream colored head of about two fingers. Leaves behind sticky lacing.

Nice hoppy aroma with some mango and peach notes. Caramel malt, a bit of pine, and something vaguely floral.

Tastes of peach and grapefruit. Don't get the mango I detect in the aroma. Some piney notes, though fairly mild. Good malt balance. Caramel and mild toffee. A bit of breadiness.

Nice medium bodied mouth feel. Bitter, but not overwhelmingly so. Medium carbonation.

Very nice IPA that displays nice hop aromas and flavors. Well balanced though. Not a in your face overpowering West Coast IPA.

This is such a good canned IPA. It is so drinkable. Great piney/citrus bitterness with the right balance of sweet caramel and bread. It is crisp and dangerously easy drinking.

Beautiful golden color with a good off-white head of foam. It hits you with a strong hop presence in the nose. Lots of pine. The flavor is citrusy with a nice caramel malt backbone.
