new to cans, at least in my experience, a different type of lager here, old world, sort of english and german at the same time, maltier than many, with a ton of grain character to it, but also an appreciable yeast flavor throughout it, still crushable when its cold too, low alcohol, and refreshing enough in the right context. its got some of that crystal malt richness to it, a little bit of color and a lot of baked or long boiled maltiness, but its never really sweet in the taste, the lager yeast does a nice job quelling that, and its bubbly and even crisp when i drink it, so we get the flavor and depth of a more traditional vienna lager, but with the drinkability of something much lighter, the best of both worlds really. i get an english malt thing to this, maybe maris otter or something not always found in a vienna lager, but i could be crazy. all the carbonation really helps, this is modern enough to probably sell well for them, but lots of old world flare too. i always enjoy logboat beers, glad to have been able to enjoy a can of this one!

Can. Pours a clear golden color with a decent head. Aroma light malt sweetness and grain. Taste of malt sweetness, light fruit and grain. Fairly mild bitterness and a clean finish. Light body, crisp, clean and quite refreshing. Tasty.

Clear golden amber colored beer with a small white colored head. Much darker than average.

Smells malty and spicy with a sharp noble hop scent. Scents of hay and saffron. Lesser scents of flowers and a slight soapy edge.

Starts out malty and noticeably thick for the style. Mildly sweet with a tame hop edge to it. Taste of hard water and a slight lemon edge to the hops.

Mouthfeel is good.

Overall a really solid lager from Missouri. I picked up this sample at the Great American Eclipse August 21st 2017.

Gold in color with excellent clarity. There's a faint wisp of dull brown bubbles in the center. Light malt and grassy German bittering hops feature prominently in the nose. I'm tasting sourdough malt and grassy German hops. The mouth is light, crisp, and quaffable.

From notes at the Great Taste 2015.
Light golden amber tone, bright clarity, sudsy foam and lacing.
Aroma is clean and dry, light toasted malt note, lemon and biscuit.
Crisp feel with a light dry bitterness in the finish, smooth malty middle.
Refreshing and a nice change of pace at the fest.
2018: purchased a 6 pack at the Sinclair Dino Mart in Shelbina for $5.

First lager produced by the guys at Logboat. Great looking pint. Clear, reddish amber color with a small tan head of foam. It had a nice toasty aroma. It tasted of sweet caramel and toffee with some toasty notes. A light bitterness add balance to the lager. It was crisp and smooth. A real easy drinking beer. Another very tasty beer from Logboat that will be great on a hot summer day.
