Poured from can to shaker pint. Dark brown liquid capped with three fingers of rich mocha head. Dissipates to a thin ring, no lacing. Nice, big aromas of milk chocolate, gooey caramel, char, chocolate biscuit. Flavor is sweet caramel, salt, roast coffee, cocoa powder, milk chocolate (almost like coffee Rolos in sea salt). Thinner feel, clean finish. Between this and OCP, Pigeon Hill is getting the flavored porters down.

Not super sweet, caramel very light but the aftertaste is amazing.

12 fl oz. can
Served in a snifter
This beer pours a deep brown hue. Garnet highlights are visible when held to the light. It is topped with an inch of tan head that leaves no trace.
This beer is damn near ambient temperature, and I still have to search for much aroma. I get faint chocolate and caramel.
Generic porter flavor with hints of caramel.
Medium bodied with a slightly dry mouthfeel
Disappointing is the one-word description that I would use to for this beer. Just pedestrian all around.

Beer has an amber hue to it coming out of the can that was somewhat surprising to me (I associate porters with a darker brown / black) In the glass it's a cola brown with minimal head. Aroma is light malts with some underlying nutty notes. On the tongue the salt is present, but not overwhelming. Caramel notes are also present up front, but muted as the taste evolves in the mouth. That's not a bad thing, as if the brewer had been too heavy handed I think this could easily slipped into gimmicky territory. As it stands, it's a light, easy drinking porter that's going down quite easily this November morning. Thanks, @foundersasap!

Poured from a can at fridge temp. Pours very dark brown - almost black. Relatively thin layer of tan head. The nose is salted caramel, chocolate, lactose, some roasted malts, and a bit of nuttiness. Interesting. The taste is a bit sour and watery. Some salted caramel and a bit of nuttiness. I can't really get past the odd sourness - I'm actually wondering if there is something wrong with this one. Mouthfeel is light and, again, a bit watery. Overall, I can't say I'm a fan of this one. Glad I got to try it!

Pigeon Hill Salter Caramel Porter pours from a 12 oz. can a nice dark cola color, with a two finger tan head that receded quickly. An inhale above the pint glass reveals notes of peanuts, caramel sweetness, and an unpleasant soapiness. The tongue is treated to a bitter taste,. caramel, earth, and a woody smokiness. It bears a slight resemblance to a porter. The mouthfeel is thin and watery. Unfortunately, I bought a six pack of this. I wish I had something good to say.. I usually like a salted caramel beer.

A decent salted caramel Porter...
...after having made one myself, I appreciate how tricky it is to get the salted caramel taste to come out. This one was very mild, muted even, but still enjoyable.
